I will give you one major piece of advice, consider shipping to the USA. It is a lot easier than you think. You will dramatically increase your sales. eBay now offers competitive rates for USA shipping if you print the label directly through the website. Because you sell items that are all roughly the same size, it would be very easy to set up especially since most of your items are going to be a similar size and weight.
You can probably ship to the USA for 10 USD. The only possible complication is that returns are going to be a bit more difficult than Canadian returns. If your rate of returns is low, this is a non-issue. The additional sales will justify it.
Ultimately, USA shipping isn't the pain that overseas shipping is. It is very simple and straight forward. eBay offers rates that allow you to be competitive with even US based sellers (you can ship a camera for 10 CAD). I would try that.
