Sales report in US dollars

All my sales reports are in US dollars.

They were so adamant about Can $ on .ca, why can we not have our reports in Can$ as well.

Is any one's sales reports in US dollars as well?

Re: Sales report in US dollars

I did not subscribe to the sales report tool. So I can't tell you. But when I tried to subscribe, the terms and conditions are mentioning eBay Inc. So if it's a US tool, that would make sense that the reports are in US $.

In my Selling Manager, the prices are shown in the currency I listed the item in.

They're all in USD. I asked Raphael for CAD 18+ months ago and he said it would never happen.

So Canada being separated and all the stories we were told, is just that, a bunch of garbage.

Re: Sales report in US dollars

I checked the Belgium site and they are also in US dollars so possibly all of them are. Maybe every one should complain to see if Ebay will ever change it for all countries to their own currency.

Personally, I agree the Sales figures should be reflected to which the country you're registered. It seems like a no-brainer. And not such a difficult thing to accomplish.

By all means, sellers should lobby for it. I asked once already but it was awhile ago.

" to see if Ebay will ever change it for all countries to their own currency."

I think they already do ......  IF the seller pays eBay for the service in the local currency (euro in Europe).

The problems many Canadians see on eBay often relate to the fact they deal in both Cdn$ and US$.

That situation is almost unique to Canadians.  Sellers in the rest of the world (including Americans who account for about half the worldwide listings) generally list and sell in their local currency or exclusively in US$ (eBay.com).

Pierre

I went to the Belgium site and logged in under my ID and the sales reports were still in US dollars.

On my summary page it shows the sales in Can dollars, so why should the report also not show Canadian.

I also pay my invoices in Canadian dollars.

Ebay tends to be very obstinate except with what makes them money and getting worse constantly.

"the sales reports were still in US dollars."

Yes, because you pay eBay.com for that service (sales report)  eBay.com deals exclusively in US$

If you were a seller from Belgium registered on the Belgian site for your sales report, you would get the report in euro.

That is a contradiction as far as I am concerned.

I am registered in Canada and the reports should be in Can dollars just like the Belgian on the Belgium site gets their report in Euros.

Re: Sales report in US dollars

I sold in US dollars until May of 2016.

My sales are  reported in total, since January 2003, on my Dashboard in US dollars.

and .....   The total will most likely continue to be reported in US dollars, primarily because of history.

History is that I sold in US dollars.  for so many years.

Am I going to worry about this?  Not really!   Not important.   Changing this US dollar total for my years of selling on eBay would be one BIG headache.

The best thing for me to have a Canadian dollar total would be to go back to my Income tax reports for each year,  ... all in Canadian dollars, for my years since January 2003....  and then have a total for my sales on eBay... in Canadian dollars

Re: Sales report in US dollars

And just like you and many others listed in US dollars on the .ca site.

Ebay told us no, can't do it anymore, have to list in Can $ and provided a garbage tool to convert listings.

Now we list in Can $ but Ebay to stupid or lazy to give us reports in Can $.

We had to change so they should have to as well.

We live in Canada, not the US, so our reports should be in the same currency we were forced to list in.
