I sent an email to eBay about this problem, this is the reply.
I understand that you are worried about your listings. Carol, I have reviewed some of your items but I did not see "Same day shipping" rather I'm seeing the "4 business day" handing time. Do you have a specific item numbers where you saw the "Same day shipping"? Please feel free to reply to this email with the item numbers. Unfortunately, it's only the seller who can revise the listings. Please remember that you can only revise listings that has more than 12 hours left before the end.
If you find some items with the "Same day shipping", you can revise them individually or you can revise them in bulk.
To edit multiple listings:
1. Go to My eBay and click the "All Selling" link. (If you use Selling Manager or Selling Manager Pro, use the "Active" view.)
2. Select the listings you want to revise, and then click the "Edit" button.
3. Select the information you want to edit. You can either make changes to each individual listing one at a time, or make the same changes to all the selected listings.
4. Click the "Continue" button.
5. Edit your listings and click the "Continue" button.
6. Check your changes and click the "Submit" button.
I have explained that I have done the revisions twice but the message has not gone away. Is it possible that buyers are not seeing it? I have sent a reply with some listing numbers and explained that other sellers on the Canadian community board are having the same problem.

I no longer have any listings on .com, but when I did they also were displaying the "same day shipping"...
and I do see the "same day shipping" displayed on your listings, as well as other sellers' listings who have also complained of this happening, so I don't know how eBay can say that it is not happening.

Yes it is the heuristic (rule of thumb) used to decide what 3 "notes" (or whatever they are actually called) to put up that is broken or overcompensating.
The same item viewed (refreshed) repeatedly will rotate the 3 "notes" which may or may not include the "same day shipping" note amongst a number of other notes.
From my own experience I am currently of the belief that the heuristic uses the definition of same day shipping as "within one business day".
If that is the case, everything purchased from Friday afternoon or at least Saturday and Sunday until Monday/ afternoon gets counted as "same day" because it is within one business day.
In my case I have 2 day handling time and I ship on Mon,Wed,Fri. Always on Wed and Fri I have several "ship within 24 hours" items (stuff purchased Mon or Wed afternoons). I would estimate 10% are these, another 15% are ones that are newer, but still wouldn't count as "same day ", so I have maybe 75% of my items that qualify as "same day shipping" from an observational perspective, if my assumption that it is really using "business day" as the heuristic.
If that is true, it would be a lot better to say "1 business day shipping" or something marketingly equivalent instead of "same day shipping" because that isn't really what is being calculated/represented by the "note" or certainly likely interpreted that way by buyers.

for myself, I have 3 day handling time so "same day" is not appropriate.

They obviously aren't looking where we are. You'll have to write back and explain that yes, your handling time is xx days so that is why you are asking about the 'same day shipping' message in the box at the top of the listing...just under the Buy It Now and Add to Cart button. (unless someone else has a better way to describe it) Give them a couple of item numbers so they can see it.
Tyler has already reported this so I don't know if it will help speed things up but it can't hurt.

Carol- I looked at some of your listings and during the browsing, got switched from dotCA to dotCOM.
On the Canada site, you showed Same Day Shipping. On the US site you showed only Long Time Member.
While the error remains a problem, this may be part of the solution.
I gather you list on dotCOM, and it looks like the listing posts correctly when viewed there.
The problem is the dotCOM listings when viewed on dotCA.
Is that your observation too?

I did give them numbers of the listing, they still say when they look it says 4 day shipping, I don't know what they are seeing. Can someone look at my listings? I really am not imaging things!!

I just checked a number of mine:
All my .COM items, whether viewed on .COM or .CA show the problem.
None of my .CA items showed the problem whether viewed on .CA or .COM
This would lead me to believe that the heuristic problem is only on the .COM side, but it is possible that the "same day shipping" note doesn't even exist on the .CA side or that for some reason it is not calculating the same for me, or it likes the other 3 it likes to show instead.

I checked a number of yours, they look to all be .COM, so like mine they will all show it no matter whether viewed via .CA or .COM...... (all of them showed same day shipping)

PS they were looking at the wrong place if they say it says "4 days shipping", that is not the text of any of the "notes", it is the note that is wrong, not your handling time.

It's definitely looks like a dot com created listing problem. Mine, created on dot ca show the exciting "Ships from Canada" with a few stragglers that include "30 Day Returns". This was something I noticed ages ago that dot com got a bigger variety of these, shall we say advertising blips to listings. Add it to the collection of perks with dot com vs dot ca. (Similar to the badges sellers either do or don't get when maybe they should.) Will these discrepancies EVER get repaired. Feel free to hold your breath, but only if you have access to a good supply of back up oxygen tanks.

The one that irritates me is "Last One"......
No it's NOT the last one, it's the last one of the ONE that I listed, when it sells I will add stock.
I don't like eBay involving me in their "false advertising" plan, it's bound to irritate buyers who think they are actually buying my "last one" only to see a couple of hours later that it's "back in stock".
The idea of marketing hype is fine but when it verges on marketing lies it does no one any good.

Comparative to the gobbly **bleep** we now get when either List or Relist an item telling us we have items that we can be relisted in the confirmation email. I know. I list them on my schedule. Not yours. All I need in that email is the full title.

Here's a screen capture for you (viewed on ebay.ca):
item 372824965740
Under shipping tab I see: "Varies for items shipped from an international location" for shipping time.

I'm sure that I'm the most interested person in my own stuff!
(almost 100% of the items I'm shown are my own!!!)

Given that the concept of an eBayCanada site is unfamiliar to many of the customer service clerks in Utah, it would not surprise me that they are only looking at your listings on the dotCOM site, where there is no problem.

You are probably right femmefan, how could eBay miss that red writing? Does that mean that US buyer will not be seeing it? They are the majority of my buyers.

On your listing (372824965740) that I screen captured, I checked all the countries (Australia, France, New Zealand, United States and Canada) that have a shipping choice. I also made sure to refresh the page after each country change to make sure the browser displayed properly. I checked on ebay.com and ebay.ca
Only a Canadian address get the Same day shipping flag, all the other countries are normal.
Canada is also the only country not to have a Delivery time range. It gets the "Varies for items shipped from an international location" label.
I suspect the 2 things are connected.
The code that pops up the Same day shipping is not using handling time to make the display choice, but is using either the Delivery result or the number values that create the Delivery result.
It might be programming as stupid as "is delivery time more than 1 day, then do not display Same day shipping" -- which fails to work properly when delivery has no time given.
It could be bad code calculating delivery time, when listing on ebay.com, shipping from another country to the same country problem. With the Same day shipping issue being part of the domino effect (bad data supplied, bad data out).
...
I've spent 50 years of trying to figure out computer errors. It can be the tiniest of things done wrong that create big problems.
