Selling items using a drop down menu?

for example selling sports cards; on the listing they have a drop down menu where you can select which card you need to complete a regular or insert set. Are these sellers only charged by ebay for ONE auction listing. Anyone know.?

And if you use this type of listing does it work well for you??

@hockey-card-inserts

If it IS available in the category you wish to use, you won't see the option unless you're a. in the Advanced Listing Tool and b. starting a brand new listing from scratch (ie. use the "sell" function). Using Sell Similar won't work.

Here is a screen shot from the business listing form...I don't think that you can do variations on the simple form. There might be a link to change to the business form on the top right corner of your listing page.

Keep in mind that the feature is for variations (color etc) of an item, not for different items.  I know that many people do use it for different cards so I'm not sure how consistent ebay is on checking for that.

Mostly because we get so many free listings every month. And I can't maintain the listings in the app. And I can't send offers for more common variations. Also because I'm convinced that variations aren't always returned in search results. Not all they're cracked up to be...
