Since When Are Scheduled Listings Charged A Fee? I like to list my items ahead of time so that they will start at a certain set time. I have never been charged a fee before. Is this something new that has just strated?

Is it on .COM or .CA

As far as I know they've always been charged on .COM and have never been charged on .CA

Non store is still free.

I only list on .ca.  But I recently downgraded my store to Basic, since eBay is offering all these free listings for 3 months. When I had the Premium store I was never charged for scheduled listings.

I don't see anything in the info about Premium stores not paying for scheduled listings but I do know that basic stores have had to pay for them for a long time.

Back in the olden days of eBay when auctions were worthwhile used to pay the .10 cents for scheduling if I had the time to create listings in advance or a major hidden treasure to sell. (No store and on dot ca). The few times in recent memory it wasn't worth the time or the dime. Similar to adding additional sites.

Hmm I didn't know it was dependent on whether one had a store and what level of store!

I've got an anchor store (.COM store).

So the response above is my experience having that level store. (and it has been this way for me for at least 2 years now)

@2nd-time-around-jewelry   mostly uses Fixed Price listings , for which sheduled listing is pretty useless, since those can sell anytime day or night for 30 days.

I hope this only effects the 187 Auctions she also has listed.

This "rule" applies to both auctions and fixed price listings for me.

I don't pay scheduling fees for BINS or Auctions on .CA, I do pay scheduling fees for both on .COM

Yes, because on .Com you have a store and so you pay to schedule items. On .CA you don’t have a store so scheduling is free. Doesn’t matter whether they are auctions or fixed price.

I always wondered if some programmer got things backwards because it never made any sense to me.

When you are listing with an ID that has a store it  doesn’t matter which site the store originated on, listings on both sites would still pay a scheduling fee.  I just did a mock listing on each site with an auction set to start later in the day and I would have been charged a scheduling fee on both sites.

I agree though that it makes no sense for a store owner who is basically paying for their listings to pay extra for scheduling and the buy it now option on listing when non store sellers get those perks free.
