I will be listing a 100 or so 12" LPs and am looking around for shipping boxes to order. It looks like it is a better deal to order pizza boxes vs. LP mailers. Not to concerned that they are bigger than needed for 1 or 2 LPs as long as it is ok for US tracked packet.
Any of the LP sellers here have any suggestions?

"It looks like it is a better deal to order pizza boxes vs. LP mailers."
What looks like a better deal isn't always a "better" deal...
Be aware that by using pizza boxes for shipping LP records you will need to add additional packaging materials to fill up that empty space which may in turn push that package into a higher weight category and thereby increase the shipping costs ...
I have been using LP mailers for over 15 years to ship LP records..
Although sellers of vinyl find it necessary to cut costs as much as possible to be able to compete with countries like the USA who have inexpensive Media Mail for shipping such items, it is indeed also necessary to use the proper packaging for shipping vinyl.

Staples online carries LP mailers for ~$180 / 100.
If you don't mind taking the extra time, you could also try making your own. You can probably get 2 out of a 16x16x16 box. You may be able to source some larger boxes from local stores too. I'm sure you could find someone who would be more than happy to set aside some for a few bucks rather than just tossing them in their garbage bins.

Definately need to check the weight situation. No point is saving $1 on the box if it pushed you to a $4 more expensive category.
Any source suggestions for LP mailers? If you are shipping a $50US and higher LP, is the LP mailer good enough for protection?

I do good amount of fraken boxing but there are about 100 I want to list, so for this one am looking for a box that I don't need to adapt.
If I go Staples, the amount is high enough to use a coupon and may be able to get 20% off of that.

I ordered a large qty of LP mailers from Uline, many, many years ago when their pricing was affordable & aceptable at that time...have no idea what they'd cost now as I still have sufficient qty left for my needs.I still use cardboard inserts and/or bubble wrap within the mailer and that has worked well for me for shipping across the USA & Canada(I no longer ship ANYTHING outside of USA & Canada.). To me, it matters not whether shipping a $20 value LP or a $100 value LP, I package same way and have had no problems with my method.

They are about $2 at Uline. They are doing a free shipping promotion until Sept. 29th with the code SP653CA.
Duplication.ca has mailers at a similar price point with free shipping to some areas of Canada: https://www.duplication.com/12-inch-record-mailer-with-bumpers-32-ect.html
$2 or so w/ free shipping seems like the best possible deal at that quantity.
If you need corrugated pads, it will cost a little bit more to buy pads, but with the amount of excess cardboard that most people have these days, you can make corrugated pads fairly easily with spare cardboard.
I would absolutely not use Pizza boxes. I understand people have used them before to ship records. But if you have a large enough number to sell, you might as well do it right.
eBay's shipping supply store has them as well, but they are fairly expensive and only comes in packs of 25. Even with the coupon, it would only make sense if you just needed 25, and had nothing else to use your coupon on.

Another possible method that might be a bit more economical is cardboard sheets if you can find a size and quantity that works for you. Examples attached from ULine. First link has both a 13" x 13" & a 14" x 14" that could work. Sandwich and tape the edges .

I do but it has already been mentioned by @ilikehockeyjerseys
I used to buy from Uline (in lots of 500), at one time they were 80 cents, I needed another order during covid, at that point they had gone up to about $1.40 (for a 500 piece order) and I think they have gone up since then.
I recently checked the pricing from duplication.ca (redirects to https://www.duplication.com/) looks like they have the best prices now plus they have the other things you might need like inner sleeves, poly bags etc. that I used to buy from EJ Bags. Besides the "standard" mailers they also have some heavy duty versions which would be useful if you are selling any truly high value lp's.
I concur, you do not want to use pizza boxes to ship one or two LP's, there is a good reason that mailers specifically made for LP's are so widely available.

I am all for lowering input costs, because even something like 25 cents spread across a high volume of orders can be substantial - With that said, I would not cheap out when it comes to LPs. The only exception being if these are 'dollar record' type LPs that aren't going to appeal to anybody who cares at all about condition.
You probably need to budget about 2.50-3.00 per LP between mailers, poly bags, and whether you need to buy stiffeners. So maybe you could save 1.50-$2 per order by going with Pizza boxes, or constructing boxes out of sheets of cardboard, but over those 100 orders it will only take a handful of returns to lose those savings from upset customers who perceive the LP arrived damaged (even if it didn't) because of the shipping method. There is also something to be said for simply doing a good job because it's the right thing to do. LP mailers are the standard for a reason.
If we're talking about lowering margins, one thing you may want to consider is the weight of each mailer. If you narrow it down to a few different possible suppliers, I would consider contacting them and asking for the weight of each mailer in grams. Uline will probably send you a sample in the mail for free if you contact them. The reason being, most of your customers will probably be from the USA, and if one mailer enables you to keep the weight under a lower tier for Tracked Packet, that will put you in a position to make a few extra dollars because if your shipping is 9.XX instead of 12.XX, you can theoretically list the BIN a bit higher and still have a competitive total price.

An added comment on shipping LP's
Traditionally sellers would use a standard LP mailer with one or two 12 x 12 cardboard stiffeners inside the mailer. The extra weight of the padding will put most LP's over 1lb (some even over 500grams). I rarely use Canada Post anymore (USPS for the US, PostNL for Overseas and companies like UniUni or ICS for Canada). Canada Post is the only carrier that works with tranches in grams, the rest either work with pounds or by the gram so reducing weight is a serious money issue.
Years ago I switched to using bubblewrap instead of cardboard for "inside the box" padding, While bubble wrap is not free the reduction in weight and therefore shipping cost far outweighs that cost and in my opinion provides better protection than cardboard.
Most of my LP's have a packed weight of 400 - 425g, with cardboard inserts that weight would increase to 475 - 525g range, that can make a major difference in actual shipping cost. If you use a quality "pizza box" you would almost never get them under 500g.

Just as a matter of interest, the LP mailers that I purchased through ULine many years ago each weigh 160g. I do not know if the construction of the mailers being sold these days is same and/or if the weight would be same. One must then factor in all the rest that would come into play for that final completed ready-to-ship item. Depending on the genre and specific recording artist and album, the customers destination will vary...I sell just as much vinyl within Canada as I do to the USA. ...and yes Tracked Packet is best method for shipping to the USA. There is no option within Canada aside of Expedited Parcel, so be prepared for those higher than to USA costs of shipping within Canada, which vary dependant upon weight & destination.

Proibably not at lot if you are in Regina! The OP is in Ottawa, they would have more options.
I'm in Toronto, I only use Canada Post for remote destinations, for "major centres" I can ship an LP for less than $6 (and it's faster than CP). Fo a less than major centre like Regina UniUni (via Stallion) is $7.15

What have your experiences been like with UniUni through Stallion?
Being able to send a package that would not qualify for Expedited Lite with tracking+insurance for $6-$8 is intriguing.
Say what you want about Canada Post, in my experience it is a very consistent product. If I send a package through Canada Post, I generally don't have to worry about it being mishandled and improperly delivered.
In my experience as a customer, couriers seem to be very hit or miss. Have you sent a high enough volume of packages through UniUni to get a feel for how reliable they are? Do you have a higher number of issues than with Canada Post? Things like misdelivered packages, couriers mishandling packages, lost packages, undeliverable, etc?

very well said!...have been using Canada Post for shipping packages(for both business purposes & personal) for nearly 6 decades and "may" be able to count on one hand any issues for which I would have had a complaint against CP...

My first experience was as a buyer (from Temu), the delivery guy made the delivery at 10:30pm, I had set notification so at 10:30 I got a notice of delivery, went to check for it and found nothing! Fortunately they include a photo of the delivery location where I eventually figured out that it was left at #251 instead of my house at #255. In the middle of the night I managed to figure out the mistake (package had been taken inside by that time) I left a note for my neighbour who dropped it at my front door in the morning.
Shortly after that Stallion started offering UniUni. so I gave it a try. So far I have shipped about 50 orders via UniUni, all have been delivered correctly, the costs are CHEAP, my packages are almost all 400 - 450 grams (a couple in the 500 - 1kg range).
Delivery times are fantastic, from Toronto, 2 days to Montreal or Ottawa, 3 or 4 days to the Vancouver area. The actual delivery times vary depending on which day of the week they are handed over by Stallion (anything dropped at Stallion on a Friday sits until Monday, same as their overseas services). UniUni are constantly increasing their delivery areas, locations they did not serve last year are now served but of course there are still large areas they do not cover. If I can't use UniUni I usually use ICS (though Stallion), they cover a much larger area but not 100% of the country. For those remote areas Stallion provides a Zone Skip service with Canada Post doing the final mile delivery, that service is variable for delivery speed but it's cheaper than Canada Post direct.
Recently for my Temu orders they have switched from UniUni to a company based in Richmond BC called Raven Force, they also use the same type of independent contract delivery drivers for the final mile.
On the related subject about Canada Post, I agree that they are very reliable, I've been a regular shipper using CP for 40 years, out of several thousand shipments I have only had one "lost" (found and delivered after 2 months) but that was during peak covid. To the best of my knowledge I have never had a single piece of Lettermail (including O/S) go missing, even delays of any consequence are rare.
So my opinion of CP is very high with the one exception of the pricing which is definitely not competative anymore.

Thank you to everyone for the great replies and discussion. It looks like I will go with an LP mailer. The extra weight from the pizza box and extra padding required is not worth it for shipping weight, supplies required and time. I am a picky shipper and won't ship if there is any movement of the contents.
If you are looking for pizza boxes, the Costco Business Center is a good source with 50 14" inch boxes for $26.39 which is a great price if you can pick them up in person. Delivery is only free on shipments over $250. They also are very competitive on other supplies like smaller boxes, tape and bubblewrap.
I buy smaller boxes from Staples already and the price of their LP mailers is pretty good at $1.84 each

I will be able to use a 10% or 20% off coupon as well since I need to order some other boxes. They can deliver for free but I prefer to pick them up as it is really close and keeps them in better condition.
One thing I will check is that Chitchats offers USPS media mail as an option. They have closed some locations in Ottawa so it is not that convenient but if I have a few to go it can be worth the trip. Otherwise it will be CP, which is no problem either.
The bulk of this is for a great heavy metal LP collection I lucked in to - Megadeath type stuff from around 1985 to 1990, and the sleeves and vinyl are both in terrific condition. I didn't even recognize most of the bands so it was a bit of a blind buy, though I do know Metal sells. I also have some of my own LPs to sell, as I try to keep the collection down to a reasonable number, and it is a bit "unreasonable" right now!

Staples is one of the best places to get boxes because they have low-minimum quantities, free shipping, and often have discounts. They also qualify for cashback via Rakuten or Air Miles.
I wasn't aware that they sold LP mailers since they aren't advertised as such.
