Check your 'Manage All Orders' page. You may find some of the tracking numbers you've uploaded have vanished. This happened a couple of months ago and the prolem is back.

If you uploaded the tracking number originally, DON'T upload it again. It causes all kinds of problems if you do. I can't remember what the problems were but i know you should not upload the tracking a second time.

If you click on the 'add tracking' link the tracking number you originally entered should still be there, which is at least some kind of evidence you uploaded it at the time of shipping. But don't save the information again, that's the same as re-uploading it and it gets recorded as being uploaded late.

Needdless to say, i wish glitches like this would stop happpening.

it may well have messed things up, i'm afraid. When you re-uploaded the tracking that probably shifted the shipping date and the tracking number will probably disappear again. This is what others have reported, i haven't done it myself.

Please let us know what transpires. We need to find some kind of work around until ebay decides to fix the problem...

Thank you. You are correct. I checked the listings and indeed the item I shipped on August 15 is now showing as shipped August 17. the item actually shipped august 17 Ebay shows as shipped august 18. If I get a ding for late shipping I will ask Ebay to make the correction.

I should clarify that I didn't actually re enter the tracking numbers. when the numbers didn't appear on my Orders page I went to the "Upload Tracking Manually ". The numbers were already sitting there in the box. I guess you could call them "stuck". All I did was click "Enter". You can see that doing that caused Ebay to update shipping to the wrong dates. thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Unfortunately, from a system POV, clicking "Enter" for a correctly displayed tracking number and carrier represents a new database acceptance and overwrite. That user action is what actually causes the tracking history to reset.

Take heart; I made the same unrecoveralbe error - but only once. When you see those fields pre-filled with the correct tracking number and carrier...Just. Don't. Do. Anything. ;^)
