Unable to leave feedback?

I just received a message from a buyer. Most of my sales within Canada are send letter mail, so there is no notification that they are delivered. Is this one of the reasons for low feedback?

I wanted to let you know that I received this item and it is in fine shape.
I recently realized that it was never reported as delivered. I don't seem to have a way to leave feedback , so I wanted to let you know I received it.

Unable to leave feedback?

I probably get more feedback from Canadian Lettermail shipments than I do for other stuff. The rate of feedback I receive has been in decline for many years and the decline seems to be steeper over the past year.

I'm not a heavy online shopper but I'm still bombarded with requests for feedback, follow up, surveys etc. from almost every place I buy from.

For many buyers leaving feedback has become more of a nuisance vs a courtesy. Unfortunately it's now at its best before date and no longer relevant.

Unable to leave feedback?

As far as I know there isn't an issue with being able to leave feedback that I could see on my end anyways (having both given and received recently).

If the item was sold 60 days ago (or more) then people are unable to leave feedback. If more recent maybe she couldn't see feedback buttor or drop down options (they are always changing how it looks!). It was nice of them to reach out to you anyways once she'd realized. I've noticed less feedback left recently but I find that happens in spurts. Most of my stuff is sent tracked though, without tracking it is certainly comforting to hear it was received.

Last month a received a large quantity of feedbacks over a period of a week. Then crickets. Orders are more inconsistent now but feedback(from buyers) appears to be extremely spotty. Especially from buyers that regularly leave feedback for their purchases. This may have something to do with the observations and reports of the feedback option being unavailable (for short periods of time). If someone is unable to leave feedback they may come back or just be skipping it altogether. This will be making it very difficult for anyone considered a new seller that must pass the new criteria to get funds released.

I don't think so, but maybe? My media store is still getting a decent amount of feedback with most things sent lettermail. I did notice that I was unable to leave feedback for buyers a few times over the past month (usually took 24 hours or so before I could) so there's definitely some gremlins in the code somewhere.

I don't recall feedback ever being reported as over 40% of transactions. That may be one reason eBay doesn't use it to assess member accounts.

Even that 40% likely includes seller feedback and I believe sellers leave FB more often than buyers.

It's not that I actually need more feedback, the reason I like it is just to know that the package has been received. I was just wondering if the very low feedback responses is because of what the buyer said.
