Uneasy about bidders

My item is ending in an hour or so.

I have two bidders and they both have never bought before. their starting initials on client id begin with wal_ followed by numbers that are sensical.

Am I getting scammed? I do not want toy sell to people who have no history for fear that something goes down that isn't cool.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why is it a scam? Very few are,

Most likely these are people who signed up and simply used the eBay generated ID. Not everyone chooses an ID.

Both are only bidding on your pads.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Why are you assuming that you will be scammed? What scam could possibly come out of this? Let the auction run it's course. Send the buyer the invoice. If he pays and it clears send the item ( with tracking ). If he doesn't pay, open a non paying bidder dispute. Then, if he doesn't pay. Put him on your blocked bidder list. Get your FVF back and relist. Move on.

I have had about 20 buyers with similar id's since the eBay hacking problem, I think some are new buyers, but others maybe changed their account because of the problem. I have had no problems except for one who made a mistake on her purchase, but it was easily rectified.

Why is something, unknown, invariably labelled a scam? Why can't the unknown simply be: "Could someone explain how this works, please?".

Tiber: can I assume, by your post, that you've had 20 similar buyers and have had no problems with those transaction? And I ask this because you're replying to my post and not the OP. I don't want to misinterpret your post.

Hi 9181! As far as I know these are just the automagically created ebay ids that are generated for new folks new id's for folks, and as tribe says it started about the time of the hacking. I have had a lot of them as well and no problems from any of them.
