I just heard americans on .com can sell stuff, then use their funds from sales to buy things directly on ebay. I'm frustrated from hearing this and that we do not have access to this feature too. Why don't we?
We have to deposit then purchase doing repeat bank transactions while ebay has the tools to avoid it. How this make sense. Is this a feature canadians will have in the future? Any news about that?

Once upon a time, PayPal was only available to Americans. Things have changed quite a bit since then.
I suspect Canadian sellers will get the feature you're on about (I've forgotten its name) in due course. I believe it's a pretty recent development.

Likely the same reason that Canadian site has NONE of the features .com has (coupouns, volume discounts etc etc - eBay doent care lol

It's not like we're a 1 million population country neither. Our market is smaller but still a big market.

I like to reconcile things like this by thinking what I'd do.
I have two customers, one spends $1,000 a month with me and one spends $100 a month.
I have to change my processes to accomodate selling more efficiently to the customers which takes me time and money to do, and I have to do it 2 times, once for each customer and it costs the same to do it for both.
What would I do?
I'd make sure the $1000 customer was looked after and I'd hope the $100 one stuck around until it got implemented hopefully eventually, but that would depend on how many other emergencies came up in the meantime affecting the "$1000" customers, and probably only if the effort/$$$ to implement for the 2nd would also help with others....
I think if we look at these things in terms of what we'd do in a similar situation, we'd find them annyoyingly consistent....

It's worse than that. Apparently Canada has two separate servers for English and French. They have to do twice the work for the $100 customer as they have to do for the $1000 customer.
I really think our only hope is for them to bring in a single code base eventually for all regions (which would make a lot of sense). I've heard that might be in the works, but I'll believe it when I see it. Hiring people to duplicate the work for each individual region, mostly from scratch, is really, really stupid.

True, we're no Liechtenstein, but eight out of the ten most populous countries in Europe have populations greater than Canada's. Germany doubles our population.
Almost a third of the countries in Asia have populations greater than that of Canada.
Also consider that California has roughly the same population as Canada, and the province of Quebec has roughly the same population as New York city.
I'd say that Canada is a somewhat significant online market, but not a big one. If we didn't live next door to the United States, our version of eBay would probably be even more stripped down compared to the US one.

I'm not sure there is really very much interest in Spendable Funds except amongst casual sellers who are getting rid of stuff in order to buy stuff, or perhaps the unbanked AND a lousy credit history.
I wouldn't use it and I doubt many regular sellers would either. If I wanted to buy something on eBay I would just be using my credit card as I do for any and all online purchases.

A lot of sellers actually source on ebay what they sell on ebay. This is the main point of being able to spend funds from our sales.

They probably need to do this because Quebec has their own set of laws.

Or the the $100 custumer is used as a tester to work out the kinks in a system or process that need refinement, so that it has a smooth roll out to the more $$$ group. 😎

I used to buy a lot more on ebay from my spendable funds when we could hold our money in paypal. Especially selling in US dollars and purchasing from the US was a lot more doable. We no longer have that option and also no US funds to play with. Now with the currency exchange, the taxes and the high cost of shipping I don't buy anything unless I can't find it in Canada. Its just too expensive. Cheaper to shop at home.
