Amazon has always been ridiculous when it came to flagging policy violations, but now eBay seems to catch up and comes up with even worse judgements.
Arduino products are open-source and can be copied by everyone - as long as they are described as "compatible with Arduino" instead as just "Arduino". We follow this simple rule for 10 years here on eBay, but recently eBay stated flagging items that are clearly described as "compatible with Arduino" and takes them down.
We also sell Wi-Fi modules for electronic development, hobby and education. There are 10,000 of those listings on eBay, advertising similar or identical technology. eBay takes one of our listings down because it would "encouraging illegal activity". Appeal rejected.
I will not believe that eBay staff is so moronic. I truly believe it is their algorithm that keeps wrongfully flagging items, but no staff member has clearance to overpower the computer's decision.
It is a laughable charade, if it wouldn't be so sad that we have to deal with the increasing idiocracy.
