setting up shipping for local pickup and expedited shipping

i having trouble setting up local pickup option and also having expedtied shipping  at the same time - could anyone run me through how this is done when listing a fairly  heavy items  that can be  shipped  or to same alot monet picked local

What  problem are you having when you try to set it up?  I didn't try to post the listing but when I did a test I first clicked on the button for local pickup (below the international shipping section). Then I filled out the package size, service etc.  Are you having a problem after that point?

really not sure what is wrong i know its me doing something wrong - i always use the same set-up at new listing all my listings , are expedited insured tracked canada post i use the boxes totally now with the high cost of postage any discount i got before with a commericail account is gone out the window with this gas tax thing -so i use boxes to ship every thing -- but back to the topic --  my shipping page doesn't show me where, iam looking  at, anything about local pickup ---- question? do i have to start from scratch and make a new shipping page for this one item ???  is it there on a new shipping page ? thanks for the help

If you are using "Sell Similar" to make your new listing , at the point of the "SHIPPING" section there is  on the right side "See all options", click on that and scroll down to the "Local pickup" button...Local pickup will then become available for applying to the listing and you need to click on the button( that now appears under your domestic shipping section) to implement that Local pickup option.

 just tried again to put local pickup  option in a new adjusted listing of same items and it saids i cannot use local pickup if i use pay when sold option - it will work if i use auction format ---but i  will wait to try that after couple weeks if its doesn't sell then i will use auction format and local pickup- the only other work around i can see - if they pay when sold option including the shipping fees  then when they  pick it up i can send them paypal refund of the shipping amount  -- little leary on this method but then all parties have a record i guess - any more advice from pickup specialiists  would be helpful these won't sell till after xmas iam sure  so i have time -

when I use Sell Similar on a fixed price listing that has Immediate Payment required, the option for Local pickup still applicable...

I have always had the Local Pickup option for my listings and only recently started to apply the "Immediate Payment required" for most of my listings whether they are Auction with Buy it Now option or Fixed Priced format.

When you say that you can't use 'pay when sold' with local pickup do you mean when you use immediate payment of when you use a fixed price gtc listing?  

When do you see the message that you can't use it..when you click on 'list it'?
