so go figure i waited 5 days to open a non payment request..

My fault i waited an extra day, to file for non payment, then with less than 2 hours to go, to collect me final value fees credit, the buyer pays.. This is a 100$ item, and i send it with signature required.  The ebay statement , and paypal statement address match 100%..  No problem,, now i get a notice from canada post saying this person doesn't live at this address, and my package is routeing back to me..  Is this something new.. as the buyer does not respond to my messages, i have no way to know..  A new way to dodge a non payment ..  so what do i do now, obviously i wait to receive it back,, Then what, do they open a case for item not received, do i have to resend it.. or do i just refund the purchase price, minus the original shipping and the return shipping fees due when i get it back,..??

If you mailed the package to the address given at payment, the buyer forgoes their buyer protection from eBay. If they do open a case on eBay you should phone eBay and get it closed since the buyer basically refused the package or gave you the wrong address.  When you get the item back you can refund through Paypal less any shipping costs.

yes, the buyer wrote me this morning, and confirmed the address is wrong, as he has recently moved..

If he wants it still, you can charge him the shipping again, both any return charges AND the cost of reshipping.

I'm amazed at how many people will move without buying a Change of Address service from Canada Post. I wonder if they are trying to avoid paying that last hydro bill?
