Let me start off by introducing myself. My name is Vaughan. I work in the Seller Development team at eBay Canada. In my role, I am focused on bringing new sellers to eBay and helping our existing sellers (like yourselves) grow.
One of the areas that I have been working on is to improve the Canadian PowerSeller program. I wanted to share some of the improvements that we've made to date:
1. SquareTrade discount. We have secured the same promotion for Canadian PowerSellers as American PowerSellers. The discount is 30% off SquareTrade subscription services. You can find a link to the promotion through the PowerSeller Portal on the Other Promotions page under Benefits (http://sales-reports.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?PowerSellerPortal&powersellerpageid=9)
2. PowerSeller events. We will start advertising on-line PowerSeller events and any in-person events, including US events that are close to Canadian borders, on the CA PowerSeller portal.
3. On-line eBay shop for PowerSeller merchandise. We are looking into making the on-line shop available to Canadians, but we do not have a definite answer as yet. Once we know if it will be feasible, I will update everyone via the Boards.
I am going to be spending more time on the boards so feel free to send me questions/comments and I will do my best to respond. If you have specific questions about the PowerSeller program, I would love to hear them.
Cheers!
Vaughan

Because they can! Buyers can file an INR 5 minutes after they pay, seller is screwed!

My wife also sells on ebay. She had an instance where she purchased 24 magazines for $65 and never received them. Seller sent her picture of brown paper that was returned to her without magazines. She wrapped 10 lbs. of magazines in brown paper and secured them with elastic! Of course, the parcel did not hold and everything got lost. She said "tough, you did not buy insurance".
My wife filed for PayPal reversal. Seller had delivery confirmation and it showed that items have NOT BEEN DELIVERED.
PayPal decision: No refund. Seller proved she mailed items, the fact that it never arrived was irrelevant.

Thanks very much for your help. 🙂
(Case #PP-132-601-153)
Well, "RICHINNY" has received his Item in four weeks, 1/2 of the maximum time I notified him it would take, and three weeks AFTER he filed "Item Not Received" & then WON.
I filed an 'Unpaid Item' on the Buyer to try to get my Listing Fees back & found this reply there:
>I dont believe it, I finally recieved it. You should get off ebay and just stick to hockey, thats the
>only thing you people do well. send me a new invoice.
>
(emphasis mine)
Please forward this to Paypal, as I tried & there is NO OPTION for "Buyer Admitted Receiving Item".
Note the insult to Canadians (& the previous cursing in emails) sent.
I do not wish to Invoice him again as I have already paid these Fees, and I do not trust him.
Since he Complained, a lot of my Buyers started to question their Items Tracking #'s and / or delivery dates, even though I've already notified them. This is very unusual.
I feel that this "RICHINNY" maybe contacting them & sowing discord.
This is contrary to eBay Rules, is it not ?

Continue what? The buyer asked for another invoice, sounds like they want to pay you. Send them a PayPal money request the worst that can happen is they ignore it, the best they pay you.
I feel that this "RICHINNY" maybe contacting them & sowing discord.
I doubt it, there has been a dramatic increase in posts regarding slow deliveries in the US. Both from Canadians (mainly items mailed in December) and Amerikans (mainly since Christmas).
Personally I experienced the delays in December but since then it all been fine. Still I get faster deliveries to almost all International locations than to the USA.

I haven't forgotten about this thread. There has been lots of exciting developments at eBay Canada - from Carly leaving for San Jose to the launch of Online Shipping, which has kept me busy.
When I have some time, I will be sure to follow-up on the thread and answer your questions.
Cheers,
Vaughan

Can you suggest some image hosting providers that are compatible with ebay.ca? I currently use Vendio image hosting and like it a lot, however, it is not set up for ebay.ca. It is set up for ebay.com. Thus I miss the promotional days like todays .10 cent listing, 50% off gallery etc. I don't really want to go into ebay.ca and list directly, as I am already paying fees with vendio for many of the extras - supersize images, background templates etc.
On the flip side, I don't receive a notificatin email from ebay.com about their sale days, because I am not a US citizen. So basically I lose out either way. How do you guys get around all this? Thanks, Cider.

Remember the trouble I'd been having with that 'Rich Ninny' of a NY buyer cancelling his Paypal-ment to me while his Item was enroute ?
Here's a new one: I've re-sent him a new invoice (three times) since asked for one, after Item arrived.
Now he refuses to pay unless I give him Positive Feedback first, and if I refuse he threatens to return my item to me ! ?:| Scary, eh !
"give me positive feedback by Friday or Ill send it back"

PayPal's ship sailed long ago with this 'Rich Ninny', all they can do (they say)is send him an e-mail asking him to confirm with them (not just to eBay) that the Item arrived, and to pay me. They have done this. If he ignores them, they will make a little note on his account, just in case he keeps doing it to other Sellers over the years.
I wonder how the US Fed. Postal Fraud investigation is going to turn out ?

Just seem weird to me.
"Try to fire me again, & I'll quit !" sort of thing.
