update to my on going saga with Canada Post and lost packages.
I ahve been informed that Canada Post has 43 skids of packages for the US sitting at customs from may 2006
these are only packages that were shipped Expedited USA. I have also been informed to fax over a list to them of all the missing packages so that they can finish them in tracing.
Now to date we have 38 parcels missing out of 93 that were shipping Expedited USA in the month of May.
So how's that for a good record. Talk about a bunch of mad customers as they think that I just never shipped there stuff
Hello
That is disgusting.I have issued two refunds in the last few days and the form letter (dispute) from ebay goes on about it is a crime if you don't send the package out. Why would I do such a thing? I have said this too many times. Today I feel like selling off waht I have and giving up this little venture. I have had it.Shipping is Canada is just as bad.
sky940colour on another thread someone mentioned to me to use these online insurance companies, i have not set up a account yet as sales are slow at this time, but will when hockey starts back up in the fall.
www.dsiinsurance,com and upic.com were the ones mentioned to me, and they do cover canada post shipments
i have customers, mainly states side that it takes 45+days to recieve, when i go to complain to canada post they say it deals with US customs, but after seeing that makes me wonder how long they hold it before they even ship it out

It took a while but one claims person was actually really nice and confessed the honest truth to me and told me I should switch companies for large or expensive parcels until they can work things out.
My account manager explained that USPS does not handle their commerial expedited packages but they hired an outside company to do this. This new company they hired was uncapable of scanning their barcodes and such.
Of course Canada Post knowing this did absolutley nothing to warn anyone.
Of course I only use this service for parcels valued over $150 each. So theres no way of sending out replacement items ahead, because if the package does arrive 90 days later then Canada Post wont reimburse me.
For most of these packages its been over 70 days and Canada Post does not respond unless I start calling representative supervisors 3 times a day to force them to do so.
Not only are there about 30 claims I still have open for these expensive packages but customers more than 60 days into a transaction lose all faith and file chargebacks as well as claims with eBay and PayPal and Im beginning to get neg'd even though I spend nearly 12 hours a week on these claims.
The good news is that I finally got word from my rep that they would close all cases for me after 60 days and pay the claims. Also if you keep bugging them they should refund postage for packages taking 45+ days.
Thanks to this experience I learned that I'm much better off with FedEx or UPS once I haggled over price with them for a bit anyways.
Unfortunatly though, nothing can compare to Canada Post SPA pricing 😞 so my account still remains open.
