That is not the only question!!
The other question is, Why is in cheaper to ship small packets from Montreal to California or even Australia than it is to ship from Montreal to Vancouver

Why does International Surface Insured not have a tracking number? It prints one and then if you need to file a claim, the customer service rep says it's not actually a tracking number...?
I've been waiting since last November for a returned item that Canada Post will not process the insurance claim.
Please help as this is over $300.00 and Paypal has refunded my customer months ago and I am still out the money!

We need a service for parcels to the US OTHER than Expediated, that would be delivered way before 6 weeks, be traceable and insurable.
I'm loosing my customers, they are not coming back!

You asked about VentureOne and why we couldn't apply the discount to more shipping products?
I am a little confused, because the 5% discount available through VentureOne is available on all our shipping services. The only thing it doesn't apply to is our postal services - e.g. lettermail and small packets. Both lettermail and small packets are amazingly economical. On lettermail the prices are regulated.
If you want further discounts, ship online and save an extra 3% for a total of 8% savings. We are convinced that VentureOne offers the best value in the shipping market in Canada for small business shippers! And we have dared to compare! Try us out online. I think you will like it. Online shipping also lets you drop your items in a street letter box near you, so not only is it cheaper, it is often more convenient.
Regards,
Kim

The service you are referring to is small packets. This service is priced by zone and weight only. The US is split into 3 zones only, so you can receive a very reasonable price. It does not have any tracking or guaranteed delivery times.
The cost structure for parcels is based on size, weight, origin and destination to cover transportation costs. In Canada we have many different rate zones and have much more rural areas to cover.
If you were to send an item that fit within lettermail sizes in Canada, you would then see a cheaper rate.

Just wondering how much time one has to make a claim for a lost package - one CP employee told me I had up to 90 days, but when I went to make a claim, the next person at CP I talked to told me I only had 30 days - can you please confirm which it is?
Thanks.
