I linked a bank account to Ebay, and they still won't let me list items

Hi,

I finally caved and gave Ebay my bank account #, so I can list items again.

I entered everything properly, and got a mesage from Ebay saying:

"You’re all set for the simpler way to get paid!"

But when I went to list an item, I get an error message that reads:

"It looks like there's a problem with this listing.

  • Your account is currently limited. Go to messages to find out what you need to do next."

The most recent email in my Messages is the one saying I'm all set up!

Did anyone else experience this? What did you have to do to fix it?

Thanks for any replies!!

I would give the payments people a call and ask them to confirm if both steps of the registration are complete (personal/business information and banking) and if they can send a ticket to get your listing restrictions lifted provided your verifcation is complete. They can tell you where your registration actually stands internally as you can be activated for managed payments without actually completiting registration.

The message says your account is limited, not that you’re completely prohibited from listing. I see two listings under the ID you used here and it looks like you’re using Managed Payments for them.

As @hlmacdon suggests, there’s probably something going on with the registration process that’s left it with incomplete information. A call or Facebook/Twitter communication to Customer Service will, one hopes, clear things up.

Since you have not sold in over a year, those restrictions are likely the ones that affect all new and occasional sellers.

If you have any other  active selling IDs mention them to the customer service rep.  That got the 10 items and $100 restriction I had on a new account changed to something crazy like 1000 listings and tens of thousands in value within 30 days.

You will also find that your customer payments will be Held for up to 21 days against your customer satisfaction. You can speed that up by putting a tracking number on for any sales.

They won't let me list anything new though! Nor re-list.  I find it bizarre those 2 listings are still up, maybe it's some glitch.

I would almost bet that the restriction is X items OR $100 in value, perhaps $200.

Go to your Seller Hub ( My eBay-> Selling-> Overview) and scroll to Monthly Limits.

You have over $100 listed, so try listing a $25 or $10 item (Fixed Price) and if that works, add another until you hit your limit.

The restrictions are usually value OR number of items. So there is some play in there.
