I was expecting better, (sold 4/6 to the US) if we hadn't had the PO rotating strikes, I probably would have done much better with Canadian sales. Dam the PO and the gov't for not settling and holding us all hostage. This is my busiest time of year as it is for most of us.

I feel for you Mo, I do not depend on my sales to make ends meet and don't have any small children to feed. I am also fortunate to live in Vancouver where I have Chit Chat for all my US and international sales.
This year overall hasn't been very good for CD sales. I am competing with a few of the large US sellers who make their money on volume, only paid a few cents for the CD's in the first place and offer free shipping to boot.
Although my sales are up from last month, they are down from last Nov.
I sure hope that something happens tomorrow although the way people were talking on TV they said they can't rely on online sales to get to them by Christmas with all the backlog.
Goodluck to you Mo over the next few weeks, I hope it picks up for you.

Zero!
I usually sell at least 6 items on any given weekend. Nothing this weekend. Buyers must be aware of the shipping delays.
I have literally stacks of beautiful cosmetics, lovely packaging materials .... gift bags, coloured tissue, free gifts -- all looking very sad and lonely. I wasn't even going to participate in holiday sales this year, but my pre-season sales in September and October were so good, I thought I would take advantage of this uptick.
Very sad!

For me it was slow to normal.
This is how it has "always" been for me each year during black friday weekend.
I do not run black friday sales of any kind.
I do compete for buyer's discretionary $$$ (since I'm a hobby (stamps)). Because of all the black friday hooplah, the discretionary $$$ is tending to go to the big sales stuff happening, therefore sales to me get put off, hopefully not forever though!

I just didn't want to find myself in apologetic explanatory mode -- which likely would not placate disappointed buyers -- if and when they didn't receive their orders. Hopefully people will be wanting to shop post holidays.

My best day on eBay since I started selling on eBay 1.5 years ago.
eBay Canada could be so much better if postal cost were comparable to the USA.

Just curious jt-libra - do you get your inventory at Shoppers during points events? I've had some great deals lately (esp since I'm a PC Insider) and it stings that I can't resell it - even deeply, deeply discounted!
I do get a few things there, yes. But I used to have a part-time job selling cosmetics and fragrance at the Bay and Sears a few years ago, so I made some contacts which I've kept.

Sales were not too bad. Although the categories I list in are a mix of Watches/Electronics. The majority of my sales were to the US.
The items that were sent within Canada have been a mitigated disaster with the tracking info flooded by "delivery may be delayed due to labor dispute".
I mailed a watch to a customer who is literally 2 blocks away from me, I'm very curious how long it will take. It's just lettermail, but alas, I think lettermail is clogged up.

Two blocks by lettermail? I'd have dropped it off myself instead for the peace of mind.
