then UNBLOCK my seller restriction due to not being able to sign up.  ebay stopped signups in canada accornding to your own annoncements 

 

"We will email and notify you in My Messages on eBay when you can register to have eBay manage your payments. eBay will require all sellers in Canada to register for eBay to manage their payments in 2021."

 

YET you block sellers accounts for not being signed up.   

Does lefthand NOT have clue as to what right hand is doing. 

 

FIX this or COMPENSATE the sellers for lost access to the site we payfor.

Yes, tyler@ebay  is the go to guy for general(Canada) eBay stuff. Unfortunately there is no one around when anything goes on the blink during the weekend and your only recourse is eBay CS (earlier in the day the better) or those Twitter/Facebook things that not everyone uses or desires to use. He should be dropping in hopefully Monday AM.

PS. It probably hasn't helped things much with a steady stream of changes to how signing up for MP is "supposed" to work. Add all the various discusions and it makes for a mess of confusion for all parties. For any Canadian buyer or seller dealing with eBay customer service the MOST important information to give to them is that you are calling from Canada and then pass that information to the next agent you speak to.

When I try to sign up for managed payments I get the following message: "We're inviting sellers to managed payments in stages.  You're not eligible for managed payments at this time."

 

I last spoke to eBay a couple of days ago and just now again.  I was told that there was a notice on my case that said they needed a screen shot of the message I get from eBay in order to proceed with my case but no one informed me.

If I hadn't called again no one would have informed me about requiring a screen shot.

 

Do you know who the goto guy is for Canadian problems?  Is it still Tyler?

Thank You.  I sent a message to Tyler yesterday and I'll try to hook into the Monday forum.

 

I've been calling ""Managed Payments specialists" and those calls are being answered from Columbia.  I'll try eBay.ca

 

(On the line with eBay.ca and pretty sure it's just another guy from Columbia.  In any case all he wants to do is transfer me to the same Columbian hub I've been calling for the past week.)

I didn't see your message regarding the screen shot, but that's the latest delaying tactic they're using with me.   They're asking for screenshots of the message I get when I try to sign up for MPs.

 

At first I was told that they would get back to me in 4-5 days but not they've changed that to 10 days.  Thats a long time to be blocked from my listings / selling.

 

Just got off the phone with them again and they don't even understand the problem.  They think the problem is that I can't sign up for MPs but the problem is that I'm blocked from my listings.  I couldn't care less about when I sign for MPs.

 

Along the way I was told that's it's a glitch with the system so I'm curious to see how many other Canadian sellers get served the same BS.

I have a buyer who wants to buy a second item and I'm also blocked from sending her a photo as we try to figure out the exact item she's intersted in.

 

Another 10 days of this will make me a little crazy.

Isn't that by deffintion a "third party"  ie  "farmed out to " Diiferent from the original source. 

 

IF they are so good  WHY are they not on the site to fix issues.

Information page that shows for magaged payments with link to sign up that just links back to the oringal managed payment page .  It's just looping.  and telling you will let you know when you can sign up. 

 

SO  how "bout you free the blocked accounts till you fix your obvoius problems still inherint in the mangaged payment procees as used in canada. 

 

Also I hope you do not expexct us to pay for our stores IF we can not use the site.

According to Tyler there will be a MP rep on the weekly chat answering questions on Wednesday. I saw that you commented there but you should give more specifics of the problem that you are having so that the rep may be able to help you.  I don't remember what you have written about the problem in the forums but the rep definitely won't know what specific problem you are having.  Rather than telling them to unblock you so that you can list, give them all the info that you can so that you can sign up for MP.

 

I'm curious if you are having the same problem that ricarmic was having because you originally signed up on .com, before .ca was around.  I don't know if he has solved the problem yet though I thought I read that he has...but I could be wrong. 🙂

That was part of the issue,  previous ebay usa,  was swiched to ebay canada by the help desk, so did follow the proceedures to get it resolved via the correct ebay help channels ,then still got blocked.   ebay canada not now doing new enrollments and locked in limbo.  I know I'm not the only one locked out.  Ebay is fully awaire of the ongoing isses but has no viable fix available to rectify.

working on a "explain like a 5 year old" to ouline the problems being had 

hopefully wed. will generate some solution.

In this boat too, blocked from revising (and likely new listings) due to "Your deadline to register for eBay to manage your payments has passed." but of course when I try to register it just loops.

I got sorted

Contact ebay via "have ebay call you".  Quickly explain to help rep that item revisions are  blocked and ask for escalation to MP rep.  Ask MP to confirm your account is Canada and not in limbo as a US account have then change as required and to then remove the block as ebay is currently not processing managed payments due to faulty rollout issues.  Hopefully it will sort the issue & yes this if done correctly will be effective immediately.

What do you mean by "eBay is currently not processing managed payments"?  Several sellers have posted this past week that they've made the transition from the old PayPal-based system to Managed Payments.  Some of them have even reported that the changeover has been pretty smooth.

Meant to say were not enrolling new MP accounts due to non specific issues. 

Was told by ebay to wait for NEW request to enroll after transsitioning from US ebay account. 

Legacy account '97 so got messed up from the getgo.

I am also unable to sign up for managed payments, and eBay has now restricted my account.  I called in 2 weeks ago and they said they would open support ticket and get back to me.  Nobody got back to me , so I called in this week, and they told me to wait another week.  

 

Has anybody gotten results from opening a ticket with managed payment specialists?

 

I am located in Canada, and want to receive payments in USD.  When attempting to link my USD acccount (Candain Bank) it just says try another bank account.  It won't give me any type of description as to what is causing the error.  Ebay Support also has not given me an answer as to what the issue is.

I am attempting to register for managed payments on ebay.com.  On ebay.ca there is no button to register.

Unfortuately no luck, apparently the reason I get the register now -> learn about managed payments infinite loop is because 'my managed payments is still being processed please wait 7 days'.

All I can say is good luck. It it is a complete and utter mess and the way they are handling things is a shambolic and they are in total disarray. I was part of a test group of sellers to sign up on .com, have a team leader on my account escalating things internally, and have been waiting over a week to get a simple upload button my dashboard to upload business and banking documentation since the clown who design the workflow has zero understanding of Canadian AND US business structures and can't get it through their head that some businesses are legally required to have a different legal business name and bank account owner name due to their business structure type. Took 3 weeks to get a simple answer that this was a known issue and they haven't even documented internally so staff are aware.  Found out lots of other things aren't properly documented and reps are giving out terrible advice that is getting accounts flagged for suspicious activity. I'm owed over $1800 and counting.

 

The best I can advise you is to stop entering the same banking info, it is getting you or will get you flagged for suspicious activity. Request a call back from managed payments, then immediately tell them you would like to be transferred to a managed payments team leader. They can tell you if your account has been flagged or what the issue may be. A lot of us are going to end up having to do manual verifications. Ensure that a rep doesn't try to switch your registration to .ca or it will set you even further back in the process.

 

It is an absolute disgrace that people can't get the answers they need. A process that literally takes 1 business day with paypal is turning into a month plus ordeal with many sellers, with some owed a pile of money.  No excuse not to have staff trained on this stuff by now. There are people in positions there that know what is going and know what needs to be done and are trying to be helpful but they have zero ability to actually do what it is required. The breakdown here is they have to open internal tickets with outsourced staff like the IT or customer service team in India who are so incompetent they don't even bother to read the internal tickets and just randomly parrot back scripted replies that have nothing to do with your issue. It literally becomes a comedy skit trying to get them to actually read their ticket.

 

Frankly from what I have seen Ebay has no business managing payments and any trust I had with them is out the window at this point. Absolutely disgusted with what I have seen.
