I guess all my prices are about to rise on dotCOM where I use Flat/Free shipping.
I think five cents should cover most of my added cost.
DotCA I try to use for bulky items, so Calculated Shipping should be self-correcting.

I can't open these links for some reason. I think in other years someone has put a very helpful chart for:
Small package USA
Tracked package USA
Small package International
Tracked package International
Australia
If anyone has done the charts, I would love to see it. Thanks.

Those links are to PDF files and require a program that can handle them.
Have not (yet) seen a file for the 2020 over-the-counter rates on the Canada Post website.
Here are the Solutions for Small Business level 1 rates for Small Packet:

Thanks SO much, that is exactly what I needed.

Does anyone have that nice chart of tracked package to US please?

From Canada Post -- this is NOT the over the counter rate.
This the Solutions for Small Business level 1 discounted rate.

I am so confused. I am trying to copy the list of packet costs to US UK and Australia. It looks as if the small packet rate to the US has gone down, but I can't believe that is true.
The UK and Australian are in zones, but I can't find what numbers the zones stand for in 1-10. Spent ages on CA confusing website, in the end I called. What a waste of time. I was told that I have to go the the site and put in the cost, weight, mailing address its from and zip code or destination for each one. I explained that I need it to go on the shipping cost on eBay, I have no idea if someone purchases what their zip code will be or if they buy several items and how much it will cost.
I told them I have the list but it doesn't give a list of the zones, she asked "where would you have got that, we don't put out lists anymore". I asked if she could tell me the number of the zones for UK and AU, she said she doesn't have that information. Really!!
I just want to have a neat list of packet rates so I can easily put it in my listings. I am sure there are helpful members here much more helpful that the CP rep.

The zone numbers vary depending on the service you are using. So every country has several numbers (rate codes), not just one.
The packet rate tables I have posted are the DISCOUNTED level 1 rates for online labels. They are NOT the over-the-counter rates -- I expect those will not show up on the website until this coming weekend.
Small Packet USA does not care what zip code you send to. One code fits all.
Country zones (rate codes) are on the Canada Post website. One place is the individual country page.
Australia: rate zone 05 for packet
https://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/PGIntDestDetails-e.asp?table=tblCountry&txtLetter=AU
UK (GB): rate zone 02 for packet
https://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manual/PGIntDestDetails-e.asp?table=tblCountry&txtLetter=GB
...
You could use ebay's calculated shipping. It will do the pricing work for you. And you can set up combined shipping rules. The rules work well with packet since packet does not have volumetric/dimensional weight to muck up combined shipping (just the 2kg maximum weight).

Hacks and workarounds.
Use city hall of the town your buyer is in. This is also useful when Canada Post tells you an address has no postal code, which sometimes happens in new suburbs.
For the UK use the postal code for 10 Downing Street. SW1A 2AA
For Australia the House of Parliament in Canberra. 2600
For the USA west coast 90210 and east coast 20500 (the White House).

Thanks so much, those are the rate zones I was looking for. CP couldn't find them, said they had no access to them. I only ship letter mail and small packet rate to UK and Australia, the rep told me there was not a single rate for each weight, I was sure that there was. I guess I will wait until after the weekend, I was just trying to put in the extra cost on my listings.
I really appreciate all your help.

I don't ship that many expedited parcels within Canada but as I'd already raised my S & H costs sufficiently last year to cover increases, I don't feel the 2020 increase will break me. Whenever I do raise my costs to accommodate postal rate increase, I always work those postal increases into both the price of the item and the shipping costs.

Looks like lots of interesting assorted options when you are able to ship on dot com with either the USPS, UPS or Fedex Calculated shipping option. Increases also but does include a 4 - 5 percent discount with USPS when you switch to the eBay option.

I did not check available UPS or Fedex rates.
In the scheme of things gives one an idea of what Canadian sellers are up against or the lack of options we truly do have.

I don't list a lot of heavier and/or higher value items on eBay anymore so I don't ship much that requires the higher priced shipping methods.
01-13-2020 09:27 PM
USPS First Class Parcel 5.53 USD ( 2 to 3 Business Days (Incl. 40 % discount)
Just so people don't think that US sellers get a 40% discount on first class......that percentage is misleading. First class goes up to 13 oz for retail so the retail 1 lb rate that they are comparing is really for Priority, not first class. The retail first class rate for LA to Boston for 13oz would be 6.27 and the commercial (ebay) rate for 13oz-15.99 oz is 5.53 so the commercial discount is about 11% not 40%. Regardless, it's still a huge difference from paying around $17 from Alberta to Toronto.
USPS First Class Mail International Large Envelope for 5.83 USD
That is just like an oversize letter from Canada to the US....documents only.
