Perhaps this is old news but as of Feb 4 (interesting coincidence) Ebay in the UK is no longer making payments available for payout after they are processed. Now sellers must wait until 2 days after the item is confirmed delivered before the funds are available for payout. Needless to say this is not going over well at all with UK Ebay sellers. I wonder if that policy will make its way here.

I'm sure it will, yet again, confirming my decision to make this my last year on eBay, for this and other reasons.

Is this for all sellers or does it only apply to one category of seller, i.e. private sellers as opposed to business sellers? eBay UK makes a distinction between sellers that eBay Canada doesn't.

I agree that February 4th is an interesting coincidence considering all the Canadian sellers missing payouts on that day.
Maybe when eBay "flipped the switch" so to speak on eBay UK to delay payouts until confirmation of receipt, a handful of other accounts were accidentally included before they realized their mistake. And this in turn screwed up the payouts from that date indefinitely.

Everything is on this post, did it over a week ago and yes parts of this is coming here to North America, you can bet your bottom $$$
eBay’s changes for Private Sellers kicked in from the 4th of February. It appears to be a gradual roll out and has been seen first in the electronics categories. Buyers will see the price they’ll pay on the item page, in search and checkout… but it’ll now be rare to see a nice round number as the price from Private Sellers, as the Buyer Fee is being included.
As part of Buyer Protection, starting from today, a fee will be included in the item price when purchasing from private sellers, paid for by the buyer to eBay. Buyers will only ever pay what they see, so there are no surprises at checkout.
Also starting from today, UK-based private sellers will also be paid after item delivery. Funds will typically be available in your eBay balance two calendar days after delivery confirmation. Pending funds can also be used to buy postage labels and refund buyers.
We know it’s important for you to get paid fast, and that’s why eBay are recommending that private sellers use a tracked delivery service, either through Simple Delivery or arranging for local collection, to get your funds as soon as possible. Using tracked delivery services can also provide a better customer experience for your shoppers, and for you, with sellers seeing a 50% decrease, on average, in buyer complaints and queries when using tracked delivery.
eBay have heard your feedback and understand that shipping costs are particularly top of mind for low price items. When you’re selling a single item for £10 or less, and it’s sent untracked, funds will now be available 24 hours after you receive positive buyer feedback. This will be live by the end of February.
Since the launch of Simple Delivery, eBay have added Royal Mail as an additional delivery partner. eBay will continue to evolve their Simple Delivery offering, with even more features set to launch in the coming months to further simplify the shipping process for private sellers. You can read more about eBay Simple Delivery and pricing for available services here.

When you register on eBay Canada you do so as a "Personal" Seller or "Business" Seller
It is the same thing as the UKs "Private" Seller, or "Business" just a different terminology

When the switch was flipped on Feb 4th in the UK, the backdoor programming for the "future" same thing in North America accidentally scooped up a few Sellers on this side of the pond, an unexpected early release of what is to come...
No Fearmongging required...

Would most likely never work in N. America. 75 % +- of buyers no longer leave feedback for transactions. I'm very close to 1 out of 4 leaving feedback and majority were tracked shipping. Most everything sent untracked rarely gets feedback. Feedback as a thing may as well be DOA.
As a side I have an order that went to a US customer a few months ago. Tracking shows as out for delivery but was never updated in USPS. Due to value confirmed with receiver. It was actually delivered on next day shown. The business logs all deliveries to verify receipt.

I agree, and this was mostly debunked on the eBay.com boards.

That's absurd! It shows, how the Ebay management is disconnected from the realty. 😆

Pretty sure this only applies to Private Sellers who no longer pay any Final Value Fees.
