We are having PayPal shipping problem with "Connection Interrupted", started yesterday. Tried from several browsers and several computers, went over Java update and computer reboot with PayPal support with no effect.
Anyone else seeing this? Can someone confirm PayPal shipping works for you today ?
Thanks

There have been many instances of problems with the PayPal postage labels over the last few months.
Will eBay ever let us know where exactly is the recurring problem?
Is it eBay? (the site)
Is it PayPal? (the payment system)
Is it Canada Post? (the supplier)
Is it Pitney Bowes? (the system administrator)

Is it the browsers? (all of them, naturally!)
Is it a conspiracy of hackers? (even better!)

I use Firefox and I had a hard time opening Paypal this morning, it took several tries, but once I managed to get on the site, I did a couple of packages okay.

The brownies that operate your computer are on strike. They have been replaced temporarily by scabs, mostly gnomes.
Putting a saucer of milk in front of your computer after you turn it off at night, will encourage them to get back to work. Adding a little Bailey's will make this happen faster.
The brownies are members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada

I just printed a label. No problem here.

I'm a bit confused by the mention of the U.S. Postal Service.

Not able to print label today using Firefox. Called Paypal and the guy there was very unhelpful and blamed it on Firefox. He said there was info about it on the Firefox website, but nothing that I could find. Guys like that should be fired!!!

I used it this morning and again about 5 mins ago. Worked fine. I used EI

As I wrote on the other thread, I tried Firefox first and then went to IE. No problems on IE so I suspect that the guy "who should be fired" was correct about it being a Firefox problem.

I couldn't print with either Firefox or Chrome this afternoon.
IE did work.

Not a Firefox or other browser problem. Occasionally, it still happens. Today, I tried to print a shipping label and it didn't work. I did refresh and it finally worked.

So after trying to print the label that is paid now it says I tried to many times and basically too bad sucker. So now the only option is to void the label and wait 3 weeks for the $18 back. And in the meantime the buyer is going to be uber **bleep** since I don't have any funds to repay for the shipping.

I never have been charged for a non-printed label. Check carefully, the error might be on your side (printer?).

Too bad the label didn't print on that package you sent to that difficult buyer you had in Israel.
I always remember that one as you rarely have PITAs.

I too have had this error, and have given my experiences/thoughts/input in the paypal forum

I am running a linux OS, with firefox as main browser. I was able to access and go thru the motions of purchasing a shipping label.. and once you hit the "confirm/ok" button to buy it, then the pop up shows up... its that very instant we as the shipping purchaser is charged, fees transferred from thee PP account to CPC and the tracking numbers (if applicable) are uploaded to ebay.
The issue then is with that pop up window not loading the label, giving a "paypal.com has lost connection error" under FF or a "The USPS site can not be contacted, please try again later" error with Chrome. As I am running a linux comp, I dont have IE installed. As mentioned the other thread, the USPS showing up on chrome perplexed me some... Although I am sure they would need to update the USPS about an inbound expedited package from Canada, as well as access/use the USPS logo on the label.
I tried reprinting in both FF and Chrome, doing exactly what they (and paypal call center front line worker said - after clearing cache for the 15th time. (I did all the idoit steps before I called and once again while on the phone with them) Until I got a new error.....
"you reached max reprint limit.. please void postage and try again" Its atthis stag your label is paid for, tracking numbers and email sent/updated, but you have no tangible label in hand because it didnt even load in the popup window due to behind the scenes connections.
Which the paypal call center front line person said it was a Canada post issue. and suggested I go to the post office directly to ship. Well due to some physical limitations thats not really an option, and PP gave me the 866 number to call CPC.
The guy I reached at CPC was very friendly and understanding.. said paypal is passing the buck because their system is working fine. My issue was I didnt want the CPC website to have an issue too, so then having 2 paid for but failed to print postage labels for the same item, to get refunded, and then still have to some how manage the wheelchair thru the snow to the post office to get face to face service. I put faith in what he said, and I tried the CPC electronic shipping tools... and it worked flawlessly.
I know I have not updated my computer, nothing has been installed, using linux not an MS operating system. I have no issues opening up other pdf forms from other sites. and no other issues with firefox.
And just the day before I printed off a label via PP flawlessly from this very same computer, with the very same set up, and it worked beautifully. What ever changes happened (be it with Paypal, CPC, or even the USPS) behind the scenes in 24 hours led to an obvious issue with the Firefox and
Chrome browsers.
Maximus7001, as for the $18 figure/waiting 3 weeks.. the refund policy is it will be reviewed/refunded in 15 days for most... 30 days for small packet. In the interest in customer service I would (and have) made other arrangements for the item to be shipped, not just telling the customer "oh well too bad you will have to wait til I get my refund" To me that looks like making a bad situation that’s not the customers fault and making it worse with potential neg feedback/drs
Finding a spare $18-22 now, may save you that in the long run vs. damaged selling reputation in th future. The shipping money would have been spent anyhow, you are just playing with time on how its paid.
