Sorry, your debit card (or bank account) is NOT a method of payment approved by eBay.

Please take a look at: https://pages.ebay.ca/help/pay/accepted-payment-methods.html

No, as 'pierre'  said, you can't do this on eBay.  In any case, I find that Paypal is now so quick at transferring funds (often the next day if you have an account in a major Canadian bank), that it's hardly worth being concerned about.

BTW, since you're new to selling, my advice would be to leave a floating balance in your Paypal account at all times anyway, enough to cover a possible refund situation.   You should also be aware that new sellers are subject to having their Paypal balances held for a time, as a precaution against fraud.  This is normal, and every new seller goes through it.  Once you're past the "probationary" period, you'll have immediate access to your Paypal funds.

As a new eBay seller, I'd advise reading through the articles on this page before you start listing:

During the Hold on your customer's cleared payment, you can use the Held funds to buy a shipping label through Paypal.

This is helpful two ways:

  • The shipping label will be discounted from PO counter prices.
  • It's a rough guide that your customer's payment has cleared and is in your account, so it is safe to ship.

Most people are honest, but newbies are sometimes targeted by scammers.
