Why No Multi-Buy in Canada?

I have been contacted several times by buyers in the US asking for deals to buy multiples of items I sell - but Ebay Canada doesn't have this feature in listings (even though US, UK, Australia and several other countries do).

Whhhhhhyyyyyyy????

My  sales could really benefit from this feature and I dont understand why we dont have it.

Anyone know if we're getting it anytime soon?

eBay.Ca had the capability of multiple item purchases several years back....then we didn't ...and eBay.CA rarely ever fixes anything! It seems .CA is not important enough to warrant spending any time or effort to fix anything here even when THEY break it!!

Sorry, for clarification my title should have included DISCOUNTS.

"Multi-buy" is the name of an eBay feature that offers a percentage off when you buy 2 or more of the same item...

What are you doing in the meantime?  Would offering an extreme discount on shipping work almost as well, or would that mess up your bookkeeping?

I doubt we see it any time soon.  My understanding is that eBay Canada is made up of two servers, one for French and one for English. The servers were created at different times, and were programmed from scratch (meaning the code is completely different for each of them, and is different from the US, UK, etc servers). They have to do twice (or more) of the work here than in other places for less population.  There might also be something with the language laws that are an issue for discounts and coupons (not sure).

I suspect we won't see many features until eBay eventually rolls out a unified worldwide code base (which I've heard rumours of).

The last I saw on this topic eg. offering coupons(weekly Q & A) for dot ca sellers was "hopefully" sometime in 2023.

@marnotom!

I do nothing. If my buyers want to buy multiples, they just pay full price. Or like I noted, they bombard me with messages trying to do a deal (which just irriates me, because then it starts to feel too much like marketplace). It's always the US buyers, who are used to getting discounts for buying more. I have sometimes turned on best offer for the non-crazies, but it's too much work for the small stuff i sell.
