Why do many of my listings have a "Same Day Shipping" disclaimer when I have a 5 day handling time?
I do ship many of my packages the next day but my handling time is 5 days.....

Ebay overrides stated handling times if they feel, on average, that you ship sooner than you state. This is how they chose to game buyer conversion rates.

there are a few of us who have noted this here:

In normal times this would be an annoyance not a problem.
But in these plague days, this is not a problem but a PROBLEM!!

My listing has also been changed to " Same day shipping" ?? My settings 2 days.

I totally agree!! The disclaimer eBay should be pushing is "Shipping Times may be Delayed"

exactly!...I have 3 day handling time for a reason!

Mine have all been changed also. I increased my handling time to 4 days because I don't my my older husband to go to the post office every day. Tyler would you look into this please. I have just changed some back to 3 days now, I'll see if they have stayed at that tomorrow.

I just listed an item and it came up Same Day Shipping even though I had 1 day handling time. I checked a few others, and they too had it.
As an experiment, I changed my handling time to 30 days. It still showed as Same Day Shipping.
If this is the result of me marking my items as shipped sometimes on the same day, I'm going to purposely wait 2 days before marking it shipped. I don't need a kick in the nads from ebay.

My listings are set to one day handling with about 95% being shipping in that time frame using Shippo. The balance go letter and get updated as soon as I package, again within that 1 day time frame. The other day when I checked on dot ca and dot com all I was seeing was Long Time Seller for my listings. Today when I look, my items only show: Ships from Canada on dot ca and Long time Seller on dot com. Always wondered about the assorted variety of sets of words on dot com as compared to what a buyer sees for a dot ca seller. Figured it was just another "discrepancy" between dot com and dot ca. Now appears that they are just a random float of words that no one truly knows the schedule to.

"I’m just trying to keep buyers from worrying about their shipments and it just gives me a little extra time so I don’t have to drive to the post office every day."
I just listed something on a "sell similar" and it had my 4 day shipping, great, except that when I went to the listing it was back to same day handling.
I am going to send a message to each buyer explaining that I had my handling time set at 4 days because we are in our late 70's with health problems and only want to go to the post office twice a week, but eBay has changed the handling time to same day shipping, and apologize. I hope buyer will be sympathetic.

I just saw the "Same day shipping" notice too... I usually ship fairly quickly but I don't want to get anyone upset in case I just happened to ship their item 2 days later and they notice - so please do fix that.

Same thing here. I have 2-day handling time and I usually add tracking by the end of the second day. I rarely do ship the same day, often the next day. I don't think it is because of anyone's shipping speed. It look more likely to be a BUG. It happens only for Canadian sellers when listing on the US site in (obviously) USD, looks like they don't take the handling time into consideration. I *think* it may have to do with the carrier selected in the shipping policies.
This is quite an important BUG, even worse in the actual context. It's not eBay that will get the backlash for not shipping fast enough, it's the sellers!
This issue's been on for a while. Sadly, no one at eBay listened (again...)
