Ever since the canada post strike, I've sold three items so far. Of course, I had to cancel the orders almost immediately since these items are cheap and small items that I only can ship with lettermail. The listings clearly say shipped with lettermail from canada post, but somehow people still buy them. I just wonder why. I can only assume, 1 . they still don't know canada post is on strike 2. taking advantage of situation for freebies. 3. they think ebay sellers will ship them out with ups and others just like walmart. What would be it?

Indeed!
The Greyhound comparison is not very inaccurate. Yes, a lot of communities haven't had consistent bus or train services for long, but...Has this stopped people in those areas from travelling? Well, no! There are a lot of new options, other than the obvious (buying a car). Taxis, Uber, Lyft and equivalent services are available in many places, as well as more local services like mini-buses or transport van services. Where there is a need, there will be a service.
And I think the same will happen if Canada Post completely collapses. Other carriers will take over the business.

"Taxis, Uber, Lyft and equivalent services are available in many places, as well as more local services like mini-buses or transport van services."
Have you ever checked into the actual cost of a 2-3 hr trip by any of these services?
As someone who has, I can tell they don't even come close to being acceptable for a person on fixed income and especially not so to those persons or seniors, who need to travel for medical appointments,etc..There is no comparison to the previous Greyhound and/or provincial bus services that used to exist...

When I worked in Mb we used to rely on Greygoose/Greyhound for customers that needed something overnight. Parcel division was quick and affordable.

Yes indeed! As someone who not only spent time travelling as a passenger via Grey Goose,Greyhound between Manitoba,Saskatchewan and Alberta, I also utilized those buslines for same day/overnight/next day shipping of packages/large box items/parcels....

British Columbia had its own version known as Barnard's Express, and it lasted a lot longer, likely because its owner diversified into passenger service and ranching and charged the then princely sum of two dollars to deliver a letter.

Would you be interested in doing some kind of split arrangement for a fleet of delivery drones? Those teleporters are just wayyy out of by budget!!
