Hi-I recently started a new ebay selling site. I have been on ebay as a buyer for over 20 years, under C-YAG as my username and needed a means of selling off my duplicates and things I no longer collect. My new selling site-Tuckhouse2021- was just getting established and was cruising allong nicely till about three weeks ago and now I have no sales and no views and my items for sale do not appear in searches. As a buyer I do three searches internationally-in Canada, the US and the UK per day looking for things to add to my collection. I mail worldwide and the market for my items is mostly the UK and the US. Very little in Canada.
I am looking for very similar things that I am selling. If I didn't already have them for my collection I would want to purchase them. The items I list on my selling site used to show up most of the time as being listed for sale and would show up in my searches when I used my other site. But today not a single one of my items for sale in any of the countries were in the search results for my buying site. They are exactly the same types of things I am looking for and contain all the right keywords.
I had several listings ending today and they did not seem to be available for sale. I am getting no exposure to the market it seems despite paying for the listing entries and I don't know what happened in the last few weeks that my ietms don't show up. I am assuming that as they aren't visible to me in my search with the keywords, they aren't being shown to others and it is reflected in that my sales are way down and there are almost no views. Any advise or help?
I don't think it is just the slow economy. If my items were overpriced or not what people wanted I should still get some views. I don't think they are getting put into other searches for potential customers.

I found your Septon Park postcard just fine with a basic keyword search on both the .ca site and the UK site.

It's been my observation (and anecdote is not data) that if you use a particular Search, but don't buy anything, the algorithms will be less likely to show you the same things again, if there are many other similar items that you might actually buy.
But-- eBay recently changed Views.
They no longer show robotic Views which were apparently 40-60% of those showing previously. These included eBay's own views, scouring the site for problems I guess (?).
It is possible this also included Searches and Views by the seller of his own items?
WAG - but....
BTW-it has been the common belief that new sellers (and you are considered new) get a little boost in Search. It is possible that your Boost period is over and you are back down here with us plebes.

HI-Many thanks for letting me know. I have to assume the system is working fine then. Alison

Hi-many thanks. I am glad they showed up for you so I can assume that others see them then. I will carry on.

Thanks, I am an active buyer of things that I need for my collection so I would think that ebay would want to show me every item it can in the hopes that I will buy it. I don't buy clothing or towels or vheicles but I also get lots of those in my searches that have nothing to do with my key words. Quite often I find thing in sellers other items or in suggested promotions that don't show up in my advanced buying searches with my exclusions and filters but that I wouls have liked to haave been shown.
As a buyer I would think that ebay would show as many items that fit the keywords and not just a random sampling. If I choose to search several pages of 240 items per page that is up to me but I would like as accurate search result as possible. One greeting card or postcard is not the same as another and just showing me one doesn't allow me to see the others for sale. As a seller I pay for each listing and would like them to be shown equally in the searches of others to see.
