I received an invitation to sell some items on Ebay for a guy in Germany. The deal is at my expense I would offer to sell some hi tech items in the $1000 - $2000 range on my ebay store using only 3 day auctions. He would ship the stuff out and the buyer would pay me... .45 days after the transaction I would send him 60 % of the money and keep 40 % for my troubles.Where is the flaw??

Why can't this guy in Germany sell his items on eBay himself?? It is totally a scam for sure and at the same your reputation will be shot, and get suspend from eBay, is it worth it for a few extra bucks?? Don't fell for it.

"The opening email is simply a ruse."
No. Please do not tell me that. I have been working for about two weeks with a Nigerian prince - yes a real prince, he told me privately - and we are well on our way to collect fifteen million dollars on his behalf. I also get to "keep 40% for my troubles" (somehow that sounds familiar).
"they will start asking for things that were not in the original request"
It's funny you mention that. The prince's email yesterday was asking for a Western Union Transfer (it is only $220) to get the money released from the bank. We're almost there. Soon I'll be able to quit eBay. 🙂

Don't worry Pierre, the Prince will come through for you....I worked with both his doctor and his minister in the past and all went well.
Life is good being a multimillionaire! I only keep selling on eBay to keep up appearances because I don't want people to know just how rich I really am.

I seem to have developed a criminal mind.
Next step- a big black moustache. I'm a traditionalist.
