That explains a lot.

So it wasn't the bank acccount change but the low sales. That changes a lot.

Thank you for confirming it. I will be planning our bank account change at the start of june. I will be contacting customer support before just to make extra sure 😉

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

but mind you , they also said inactive until i asked for a date which i was inactive and then got transfered and they said low sales even though i do about 200-600 per week , now after removing 90% of my listings im doing zero ! good-bye top rated rating ! and the first agent said it was my bank change . was evem told of i bought a e-bay store so i can list up to 25,000 items at $300 per month i would only be able to list 500 !

still don't understand whats going on , but if i have no listings can't make anything on e-bay

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

agent told me even if you have a anchor store at $300 per month and your limit right now is 500 , thats all you can list even if you have a store ! i was told the first time it was due to my change in banking that i went from 18000 to 500 , then told it was i was inactive and when i asked for a date that i was inactive got transfered to someone else because i told them i can prove i have recieved a payout every week for years ! then was told by another agent its due to not enough sales , so now i have less to sell on ebay and this week i have no sales at all and i do about $300 a week on avg .

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

Doing 200 to 600 of sales amount per week ? I don't see that amount in your Sold items. I only see 51 items sold in the past 90 days.

That amount could be considered low sales indeed. Specifically with 1$ items, that might be why the last agent told you that.

But that doesn't explain why they lowered it in the first place.

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

I can understand that "post decision" you can't "store yourself" to fix it.

My wondering is if it would have happened if you already had a store? I'm also unsure how the use of variations like this counts to "the system".  I  personally chose not to use variations this way as i don't trust "complicated" stuff to be problem free in the long term (I'm into year 27 here now). I try to keep my listings "simple" as a result. (I have a good number of listings that have been running a long time, over 10 years in some cases, awaiting the "right" buyer). I'm not saying anything against variations, a lot of folks particularly in your field do use them, I'm only explaining why I don't.

As always seems to be the case, mulitple versions of the "answer" to what is the cause, who says the latest is the right one, personally "low sales" does not make sense to me. I'm sticking with my gut sense above the latest they told you, but that could easily be wrong.

I've said this before several times in other threads but this unclarity of cause is exactly the reason someone who depends on online income for a living should never ever depend on only one site, be it here or elsewhere. For myself, I'm currently have 5 different venues, the last two the result of the fall Postal strike, although I'm "semi retired", this is consistent with the venue count when I was 100%.

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

hi again chicweb 🙂 the items i sell is between $1.00 and 300 , some need to complete a set and only one or two cards , sometimes its a couple of buck or like a few weeks ago i sold 4 cards for $425.00 and that was just one order that week . and not everyone leaves a feedback as you must know from being on e-bay .

its all in the math , i have a feedback of 1404 with 5.2k items sold . with 461 pos feedback and all feed back for last 12 months is 3341 as many of my buyers are return buyers or they place many orders on one order to save even more on shipping . but then thats not here or there . i paid e-bay roughly $1,800 on fee's last year so must be doing ok . problem is how can someone sell and boost there rating if you can't list ? and all of your top selling items are removed ? does not help my busness if i can't list inventory . got 4 different resons why i went from 18,000 to 500 items from 4 different agents . none makes sense .

@cottagewoman I had to look up what "WhatNot" was!

Keeping in mind I'm a stamp guy, mine aside from here are generally stamp specific or aligned with antiquishness.

Re: wow !! 21 +years with e-bay and got the lowest listings possible because i changed banks

Hi ricarmic . how variations works , well in hockey cards anyway is , lets say tim hortons 2000 set .

there is a base set 125 cards and 7 sub sets . so 1 variation is base , with each card listed under it . and how many a person has . think there is about 200 cards in the master set ( all 200 cards)  the next variation would be lets say standouts 15 cards subset , so each would be listed under standouts and each with there own price as each has different price (Connor McDavid - $2.50  Leon Draisaitl $1.00 )

as of today there is 14 different sets so lots of different cards . once you get the hang of it , not to bad and buyers can buy as many as you have listed
