From my experience the last few months, packages to the US, all of which go through ISC Chicago, were moving fine. 2-3 days processing time and then onto their destination. But almost a month ago i noticed it was taking over a week. My most recent packages have been there over 2 weeks and counting, without being processed. Packages that do finally leave there are missing all sorts of scans as well...no scans until they arrive at the destination facility in the state where the item is to be delivered.
i'm also starting to get messages from US buyers asking where their stuff is on my untracked packages.
I have tried to find out what the cause of the sudden delay is, whether it be a Covid outbreak or equipment problems but have found nothing at all. This problem should effect sellers that ship to the US from most of Southern Ontario and probably much of Central Canada as well.
Anyone know what the issue is?

Yes I believe my late shipping rate is the highest it has ever been.
Fortunately most of my customers are quite understanding so the actual refund rate isn't much higher than usual - I just wish they wouldn't answer the "did it arrive on time question"!
85-90% of my items are shipped untracked.
I don't have time to do an intermediate "cookie jar insurance" review, but I strongly suspect 2021 will be worse than 2020 was....not a lot worse but worse.
I hope things right themselves a fair bit soon.....

Total agreement regarding the "didn't arrive on time" question!!!
It seems like there is majoring tinkering afoot with routing.....Everywhere.
My US stuff regularly goes Calgary...via Richmond to LAX(90 %) SF (10%) 4 days then forwarded.
Recent US shipment shows Burlingame CA (30 mins s. of SF)
Intl shipment to Cyprus with small packet air May 4:
Calgary...6 days to Jamaica NY....5 days processing to NY, NY...Back to Jamaica NY...On to NY NY...6 days to get on a flight to London, UK...UK to Cyprus same day 24th. Today(28th) customer reached out looking for a customs invoice. The PDF file required cannot be sent with eBay mail. 3 sets of docs were included. Appears the copy it was sent with can't be scanned/read Internationally. Strangely the UR tracking does display in eBay. Shipment value. $8.00 CAD.

PS. Wouldn't it be nice if there was easy way to reverse a refund when customers insist on a refund and stuff arrives?

Chicago has been brutal lately. I filed a few cases with USPS. Soon as they investigate the case they locate it the item gets updates. I ship everything with tracking. Item are taking at least 10 days to leave that facilty. Time for Canada Post to ship to another airport. Everything I mail out lately has had delays.

USPS has only five international mail sorting centres, and Chicago is the only one that can be considered central. The other four are in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, and New York. The one in New York also receives a fair number of complaints.

I ship items from HK to US, used to be very good impression of USPS for it’s efficiency and reliability BEFORE 2021, but now completely change for starting from Jan 2021 one missing parcel happens and April another one, even EMS/expedite items got no updates for 2 weeks, many items are having delays or even big delay, the longest record is 53 days to deliver. No updates and some updates info are even incorrect, expected delivery day are always change… seems USPS are having some significant issues… very disappointed.
