I ended 4 items early last night and noticed that one of them is missing from my unsold inventory!! There is no reasons for any removal not even for violation reasons at all. Now I see why many of my items are missing regardless of what the last few months. Wonder why eBay would do that?? Anyone knew or have the same experiences?

Is your Unsold the same when viewed on ebay.ca and on ebay.com?
Sometimes when one site is flaky the other is okay.

It's expected that eBay will be deleting all .ca listings from sellers' "Unsold" that were originally in $USD. This may be co-ordinated with the end of the Migration Tool which eBay announced would be March 21st. Perhaps that's what happened to you.
Were any of your removed listings old GTC listings that were still in $USD on .ca? EBay gave us a lot of extra time to convert GTCs that were in $USD on .ca, but I don't recall exactly what date eBay was going to be completely removing them from the site. Perhaps someone else can look up that information. What I do remember is that .ca GTC listings in $USD were allowed to remain on the site for a very long time after eBay stopped $USD listings on .ca. Maybe March 21st was the final deadline for eBay to sweep clean.
I had a whole group of these old .ca $USD listings in my "Unsold" folder that I quickly converted to $CDN listings on .ca this week just in case, when I suddenly realized the deadline was getting close.
However, if your listings were not $USD on .ca, then I'm afraid I can't understand why they'd be removed from "Unsold" so quickly after being ended. As far as I know, eBay doesn't remove listings from "Unsold" inventory for policy violation reasons -- listings only violate policy if they're actually "live".

" I don't recall exactly what date eBay was going to be completely removing them from the site."
eBay ended the remainder of GTC listings between Jan,16-19/17. My listings ended on the 19th so with Selling Manager the unsold listings should remain there for 90 days or until April.19/17.

Are you sure it is 90 and not 60 days for Ebay retention I believe they only stay on sold for 60 days same as feedback.
My oldest unsold is from Feb 3 so I won't be able to check until early April.

I have no Unsolds because I run GTC now.
But this is what the drop-down menu says for that section like any other:

Do you see anything if you look under Archived?
03-21-2017 05:46 PM
Because I have Sales Records galore under Archived. Going back as far as December. Maybe this would also applied to Unsolds if you look.

You can also search Archived by Item Title or Item Number if you saved those from the email confirmation email messages that ebay sends.

GTC listings in $USD on .ca were the last batch eBay retired. Sellers who had such listings finally had them unilaterally ended by eBay and automatically retired into their "Unsold" folders, which -- now that 'silverpinups' mentions it -- I recall was indeed around mid-January of 2017. At least that's what happened to those of us (like me) who were too busy or otherwise didn't get around to re-creating the listings on .com or relisting them in $CDN on .ca before the January deadline. That's how a lot of us ended up with a whole slew of unwanted "Unsolds" to deal with.
I'm just wondering if it's possible that the OP had some .ca USD GTC listings that somehow escaped the first sweep by eBay but got picked up by the bots as soon as they were ended manually and went into the "Unsold" folder. Knowing eBay, that doesn't seem an unimaginable scenario.
Perhaps the OP will come back and let us know whether the listings that vanished were originally $USD listings on .ca.

Could it be that you had "active content" in that listing? I got an email from eBay a few days ago saying that one of my listings had active content and it would be deleted that day without me revising it.

If you have Selling Manager on eBay.com you have 90 days before the un-sold listings disappear.

mjwl: This is the message I received,
We're writing to let you know that as of March 14, 2017, at least 1 of your listings on the eBay.com sites contain active content. Active content (e.g. JavaScript, Plug-ins or Flash, iFrame and Form actions) will no longer display in your eBay listings starting in June 2017.
I am not quite sure what the active content was, but it was one of the few items that I had failed to revise and cut down a lot of the wording in my listings, it may have been the only one left.

Not true. Listing will not be deleted. Active content should be removed by June 2017 and then it will be disabled in the listing. No deleted listings as far as I understand.
Here is a active content listing scanner by eBay member shipscript. It will show you what listings have issues.

I ran it on your id and you do have issues to be fixed before June.
shipscript is working on a tool to fix listing with active content in bulk. It is in testing stage now.

That's a really nice tool.

I have converted ALL of my listings to Canadian many, many months, so there is NO reasons for the missing item or removal! They all are on eBay.ca.

It has nothing to do with 60 or 90 days. I ended 4 lists early and then I cannot find the one list out of these 4 items, all done in 5 minutes, so where did it go. It didn't sit in Unsold Inventory at all as it is only 5 minutes! So where did it go??!!
