Post Office gave offer to workers. Now what?

Post office gave workers an offer and they have 2 weeks to respond. I put my store on vacation on the 12th to ensure mail doesn’t get stuck and now this is extending the possibility of a strike further down the road. This is driving me crazy. What do you think?

It is my understanding that is not to be as "Canada Post has not agreed to delay a potential strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), effectively pushing the union to agree to its latest offer ahead of a planned labour action set to begin Friday."

"What do you think? Well, from one 'store' soul to a fellow 'store' soul in the storm, I think... 🎶 Don't Worry, Be Happy 🎶. During Time Away, you have more time to enjoy and celebrate life (unless you are still working and tweaking in your closed store...)

My 'store' is closed for a while, otherwise I would not have time to write in this forum. Cheers from Canada, eh?

With any luck, they'll acept the offer and all this s-show will be done and over with.

My understanding is the same as @mrdutch1001's: Canada Post rejected an offer by CUPW to delay job action by two weeks while the union considered a new job offer.

both sides appear to be digging in their positions - outcome unknown is the scary part...it has such a bad economic trickle down effect..thousands of Ebay and online businesses shut down until further notice

The postal workers are willing to give the public a break, but management is not.

Follow the money.

If the workers strike, they get only strike pay. And that's after missing a month's pay last winter.

Meanwhile, management collects their wages in full, whether the mail goes through or not.
