How were your Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales?

Hello guys, I am really interested in knowing how your sales were on what should have been a very busy weekend.

I had a few sales but not crazy. It looks like eBay shine a light on you for a little while and you get some sales. Then all of the sudden the light is turned off and you have no visibility. 
What sometimes happens is that I run a sale and after is done the same things that were on the sale, sell for the full price. 

I feel like sellers have to jump through loops to get a sale. I have run sales to up to 30% off and I still have one going and buyers still ask for a lower price.

I feel kind of deflated at this moment. But then probably there may be others in my same situation or even worst. 

Just venting and hoping to hear from some of you telling me that they had great sales.

I'm a "stamps guy", traditionally Black Friday weekend has been calm, usually calmer than a normal weekend. Cyber monday the odd time better than a normal monday.

My thought is that on black friday folks are buying traditional things like appliances, technology etc, the discretionary collectibles come after with whatever is left over.....

Yesterday (Tuesday) was almost better for me than Saturday through Monday in total!! ......

what sales? ...= 0 across 3 selling sites...

oh well... but really no different than other years = those days are meaningless for my items...

I don’t think digital marketplace sites are on the radars of most buyers looking for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals, just as most brick and mortar shoppers aren’t going to shop at Sobeys hoping for killer deals on meat and produce on Black Friday.

with my site these sales days are usually dead crickets sounds- this year same no sales what so ever on the weekend then one my 30 or 35 %sales kicked in on monday and i got four sales over three days which is for me is pretty good - -and yes i still get people ask for more off or free shipping even when the items are below cost wholesale - but i am getting used to it and just give  an answer that will explain the situation and move on -- by the way my defect rate today went form 2.17 to 2.16 wow such a major decrease  but a long way to go to get it to 1.99 and back into the fold of promo listings  and reduced selling fees--they keep sending notices that my account is in jeopardy every month - and i just keep going- maybe one day --

I'm entering the worst sales period of my selling year.

This is normal and some years I have even just close down for December. Sales return on and after Boxing Day.

But I have been listing some Western Canada postcards and sales have been better than I expected.

I have never noticed an increase on my ebay sales on the Black Friday weekend or Cyber Monday.  It was fairly slow though today things picked up a bit.

Horrible across all my stores (actually for about the last 2 weeks). I saw a similar pattern last year though, so I was kind of expecting it. Last year December was strong for me, so hopefully that trend continues.

Your sales should be lower for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Traditional retailers offer sales and markdowns. People have finite money to spend. There is no urgency to buy from a random eBay seller who is not offering a Black Friday promotion.

My sales were fine but I suspect they were lower than they would have been if it wasn't Black Friday weekend.
