I don't know much about history but boy the cost of sending a letter has gone up over time. Anyone remember when it was 10 cents forever? I sooo miss Light Packet Air to everywhere it went!!!

All mail services are getting the same treatment. For example, regular U.S. 30g letterpost is going to 1.40 and International to 2.92

The new rate tables are provided in the last Gazette.

Here's the correct proposed changes taken from the February 10th 2024 Canada Gazette Part 1:

And a change to "paragraph 1(1)(a) of Schedule VII" is also planned (the amount is given, but not the service).

I looked it up. This means the Registered Mail fee will increase from $9.75 to $10.50
