Just wanted to get something off my chest-the fact that in my last 10-12 sales-I have not received any feedback at all-good or bad.I guess with this total crazy and cluttered Selling format-new buyers just can't seem to find the Positive button. -Its sad how after 20yrs of trying my dambdest to be a good buyer and seller-it doesn't matter now how high your rating is or what color your star is?-I thought that this was our ID-a ranking of how professional we were as sellers?-I always left my Positive feedback for the buyers after payment received -even changing their (0) to their first feedback ,welcoming them to ebay. I gave a great item at a great price with professional packaging -sent to another country safely arriving in the same condition as it was sent. I take pride in being a Seller and would like to receive just one positive note.It would be greatly appreciated . To all you buyers out there-if you were happy with the transaction and especially the item when received -please let us know by finding that feedback button-thank you. Shortchanged Seller

I've looked throughout these forums and on a wild goose chase. I've gone thru the ridiculous selling on ebay youtube tutorial that does not cover this information. This is absolute nonsense that Ebay does not provide any instrcutions to get the Fed Ex shipping HS tariff code!!! Nothing relevant when I google for this info either. How am I expected to ship in a timely manner if your process is not straight forward for your buyers to use?!

Hi, my question might sound a bit weird but it happened few times to me to sell an item to someone in a country other than North America and his name do not use the A to Z alphabet. Now I wouldn't mind at all to simply copy and past his name but the shipping company I use will replace any other letter by questions marks "?". I've tried to search for a site that will translate names but there's nothing I've found that seem reliable so far. I was wondering if someone have solution for this kind of situation. Thank you!

Hi guys! Very new to selling on eBay. When creating a listing of an item, in the end, under "Returns" I checked the option: "Accept returns, and then selected: "Your buyer should contact you within: 30 days". I also selected "Return shipping paid by: Buyer" Looking at the item, listed, I noticed that when the shipping is set to Canada, it says "30 days after the buyer receives it - The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs" but if I change the shipping to the USA, the Return policy changes to: "The seller will not accept returns for this item." Why is that? I looked everywhere to change this setting but I can't seem to find it. I want to say "Return accepted" even to shippings to the USA. Anyone had that problem before? Or is anyone aware of how to fix that? I would appreciate any input. Thanks so much!

My selling account has permanently restricted because the buyer said the package didn't arrive. Eventhough the USPS said it was delivered. This is the first time happend after selling 1 year with EBAY and my account just closed permanently. I have chat with EBAY and she said the decision is final. Anyone has this problem? I am so disapointed.

I sold an expensive item via promoted listings, buyer asked for cancellation soon after, order cancelled. All selling fees are refunded back but promotion fee is still showing charged in transactions.

I experienced a glitch with the eBay mobile app. A customer purchased multiple items in one purchase. I clicked 'mark as shipped' which claims to mark all the items in the order as shipped. The eBay app failed to do so, and even though, it said on my profile that I had marked both items as shipped (even on the PC site too), I got dinged for overdue shipment. Could someone at eBay please look into this and correct this for me? Thanks

Oftentimes, they encourage you buy their course or tutorial in order to learn the ropes. I need anyone's advice with great experience in this field on how to start this journey, and how to find suppliers to bring down the costs and risks involved. How to you personally get your items? Do you manufacture them or do you import them from a specific supplier? These are the questions that have occupied my mind.

I'm trying to offload ultra low-end cards and I'm having extreme difficulty doing so. It seems like nothing I have tried is generating sales. I'm seeing some sellers move as much 2k+ units over 6 weeks and I'm thoroughly frustrated that I've only achieved 1% of that. I concede that I can't compete with sellers in the ultra low-end space willing to do free shipping for 99c cards. However, I see lots of sellers who charge high shipping fees and still making a ton of sales. Initially I charged a fair bit ($1.38) to cover postage and eBay fixed fees, but I mentioned in my title that I would manually refund shipping if they purchased more than one unit. Recently I tried a bunch of things like dropping my fees to 48c, upping my promoted listings percentage but nothing has worked. The same sellers consistently appear at the top with their high shipping fees and are making tonnes of sales. It seems like the only thing people use is "Best Match". Nobody seems to sort by lowest price + shipping; I would like to think I would have more sales if they did because I feel my shipping prices are competitive. I like to think I filled out all of the item specifics fields to the best of my ability but it didn't matter. I'm almost out of ideas. The last thing I can think of at this time is photos. The top-ranking listings seems to have photos for each variant. Low-end listings have 120-200 variants and it would take forever to upload photos for all of them. I don't have photos for every individual variant because it is so time consuming to add them. It already took an awful lot of time to add all of those variants. I've heard of terminating listings and reposting but it feels insane to put the exact same posting and expect different results. Any guidance would be appreciated. I'm not looking to make huge profits here. I'm trying to utilize my spare time to recover as much of my money as I can.

Why is "Canada Post Lettermail" the only available shipping service when listing new items? There used to be more services to choose from (Canada Post Tracked Packet, UPS, Fedex, etc.)

Please can someone tell me why all of a sudden the app for shipping displays only letter mail as my shipping option ? I can not list or revise any of my items. When I list an item and I mark the measurements and the weight and I click on shipping I get letter mail or do I have to mark false shipping cost. I never had trouble like this before and I have been with Ebay from 2003 . If I do not know the Postal Code or ZIP Code from a buyer how can I give a shipping cost. Why did Ebay take out the easy and fast way and mixed up most of the small sellers. If I put a shipping cost the way Ebay changed it and I mark down, for example $ 15.00 shipping, what if the post office charges me $ 25.00 to mail the parcel ..... Who will pay the difference ,,,Ebay or the buyer or me ?? If it is me why should I sell on Ebay ?? THIS NEW SYSTEM THAT EBAY CREATED IS THE MOST TERRIBLE THING THAT EVER HAPPENED BESIDES THE FEES AND TAXES THEY ARE CHARGING US.

Anyone else having trouble adding shipping options with the new "listing tool?" I have made 8 to 10 attempts, on two different browsers, to revise some listings to add the Tracked Packet USA I selected when I posted the listings. No matter what I do, it simply will NOT "take". I've checked every box. I've deleted and re-added the service. I've reloaded the page. I've tried it on another browser. All I get is "This item will ship to United States, but the seller has not specified shipping options." So I have Americans contacting me to ask the shipping cost for things that I then have to go look up on Canada Post. Which it should be displaying for them. While all the other settings, pictures, package sizes, seem to carry over when you click "create similar listing", the shipping services didn't. The boxes are there, when I revise the listing. They just don't "list".

Hello, new seller here. Need advice. I put an item up for bidding and just received my first bid. However, I prefer to sell and ship to Canada and USA only. The bidder is from Singapore. So how would that work? I don't belief I have it set up with shipping option for international buyers except USA and domestic Canada. If he wins the bid, do I have to sell it to him and mail it to Singapore? Also will I be in the hole for the international shipping overseas which I don't think has been set up as an option. Advice appreciated. Thank you.

Haven't used Ebay in a little while, and the shipping tool for listings has changed. Was trying to list something but I only have three options to ship now: Standard Shipping: small to medium items Freight: Oversized items Local Pickup Only: sell to buyers near you My problem, my package is 5lb which is over the 2kg limit for Standard Shipping. My only other option is Freight? That doesn't make sense to me. Am I doing something wrong?

Do sold listings stop counting toward listing limit in one of these ways? If so, which? 1 month AFTER the item was listed Ex. Listed Jan 9th (sold some time that month), drops from listing limit count on Feb 9th 1 month AFTER sale Ex. Item sold Jan 9th, drops from listing limit count on Feb 9th. Or, on the 1st of each month? Ex... One Item listed & sold Jan 1st, and another listed & sold Jan 25th will both stop counting toward listing limit on Feb 1st. I ask, because I started a store around 1 month ago, and am at my 500 limit. However, I was hoping some items that sold this time last month would start dropping off my limit counter. I only have around 190 active listings (~400 items), and having the sold ones counting toward my limit is really hindering growth.

Hello fellow .ca users, We've decided to start allowing worldwide shipping, or at least international shipping outside of Canada / US, but it doesn't seem practical with the way calculated by weight / flat rate shipping is set up. I have seen multiple people say they offer worldwide shipping through canada post with the price calculated by weight, but how then do you offer a reasonable shipping price to the US? When you add a US shipping option, it also has to be by weight, but canada post shipping is much much higher than what a service like Stallion or Chit Chats offers, which is why we use Flat Rate for all US shipping. Surely leaving it as calculated by weight would scare off most US customers when it shows prices at $25+. And the cherry on top of "why does ebay do it this way", when using the calculated by weight option, it removes the ability to use a shipping table, of which we could just then set the US price to be a nice flat rate, and everywhere else be calculated by weight. If there is no solution to the problem above, what Flat rates do you all recommend, and to which countries outside the US? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Since I listed my items, I am receiving offers all from the US. An eBay expert in another discussion told me that in my listing I have mentioned that I ship to the US. I have mistakenly done that, I didn't know I can ship to the US. My questions are: 1. How would I delete that? From where should exclude the "shipment to the US" from my listing? 2. If I decide to ship to the US as well, are there any ways I can mention 2 different shipment fees in my listing? I mean I want to mention it like this: for example, $20 Canada shipments and $ 25 US shipments. (numbers are random.) 3. If yes, how? And do you suggest that I write 2 shipment fees in my listing? RECENTLY I TRIED TO SELL SOME ITEMS ON EBAY FOR A 30 DAY PERIOD AND NOT EVEN A NIBBLE. I TRIED THEM BECAUSE WHERE I LIVE I HAD TRIED KIJIJI WITH 130 ACTIVE LISTINGS AND NO DICE REGARDLESS OF PRICE OR CONDITION EVEN NEW. GRANTED SOME OF MY ITEMS ARE WHAT IS REFERRED TO AS NICHE ITEMS.I THINK WHAT THE PROBLEM IS LACK OF DISPOSABLE INCOME. COVID DECIMATED THE THE BUYING AND SELLING MARKETS. PEOPLE ARE OUT OF WORK AND ARE CUTTING BACK EVEN ON ESSENTIALS. IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT SELLING PLATFORM YOU USE THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH THE ECONOMY IN NORTH AMERICA AND PERHAPS THE WORLD. Hi, I am new here. I need expert help to learn a few things about selling on eBay. Your help is greatly appreciated. After listing my items, eBay redirected me to a page for "shipment label". Apparently, when I want to mail an item to customers, these eBay labels need to be printed & added to my package. 1. Is it worth it to use these labels? 2. How much do I have to pay for each? 3. I am selling some pre-owned & new clothes (my own clothes), what is the best packaging for clothes you suggest? And also something with a reasonable price. 4. And lastly, the shipping fee I have added for each of my listings is Approx. I also explained this in my item descriptions. As I don't know the exact dimensions & weight of each item. I checked the fee on the Canada Post website. Is it okay that I have provided an approximate price? Thank you in advance for any help you would be able to provide!
